Those stores bought extra tankers to deliver shit from china while ports were clogged, now that ports are unclogging, they realize they will have 10 times the chinese garbage they need to sale during a holiday season where noone will have money and will be scared to spend because of such an uncertain future.

Analysts are predicting retail super sale unlike an other as stores try to offload, so if you need a new TV, fridge, washing machine, or clothes, wait until January next year

Nah that's the other way around. If they admit we are fucked, it means we are ultragiga fucked beyond comprehension in reality.
And really, it's not hard to see, we are already collapsing in so many areas. The demography of western nations alone is bound to destroy us. How are we supposed to function when half the population are senile old fucks on pyramidal financed fixed pensions and social security? It will be the final gift of the boomers, the generation who keep on delivering up to the very last minute.

Either we kill all the retirees, or we are doomed to collective suicide. Problem is they still control all the capital, especially real estate, and since capital = power, they will do everything to save themselves and sacrifice us all in the process. That's already what's happening since years.

Retail fag here that competes against these guys online. NO ONE IS BUYING SHIT.
I have a semi well known small brand and traffic is down 70% and sales down 50% from two years ago.
These VERY COMPANIES are putting up closeouts and liquidation BY THE TRUCKLOAD for like $5,000 delivered.

Right now I can get entire truckloads of Home Depot brand new products for about that or less delivered. Depends on product category.

We are at the phase that storing goods costs more than the money you would make by selling them. I have been in liquidations for years and this is typically how it goes when things get back.
There is no end in sight.

Probably stimulus checks by October. Cap this. A second stimulus before the holidays.
Then total collapse in early 2023.

Depends on the product.
They will liquidate it to people in the aftermarkets first. But eventually they will destroy it you are correct.
THEY FOR SURE WILL NOT allow retail customers to get closeout prices.
But I make my living on this stuff and you are entirely correct, they will begin scrapping it all eventually.
I buy from several big corporations as their last stop before the landfill or recycling center.
Typically this gets me about 20% under cost to produce prices. But after that they are throwing it away.
