I hold my BAT on Bancor. I can't move it to the upgraded v3 Bancor and continue getting paid unless I spend like $300 gas in ETH, or spend the equivalent to withdraw, because Bancor uses most of it'd gas costs on spaghetti code loop-da-loops.

I'm waiting for Eth 2.0 to reduce gas costs, so that I can withdraw, then sell my BAT.

Whether they distribute it wrapped on some network or some other network it makes little difference. BAT is not just for one chain its on ethereum, BSC, solana, I think some others too. More networks is better, it being spread out increases adoption. Hopefully they eventually roll out themis v2 and make rewards go directly on chain.

it's probably best to build on multiple networks and see which works best. An AVAX subnet would allow for BAT token to be used as transaction fees and/or for security (staking on PoS). You could even go nuts and switch sybil defense from PoS to PoW or maybe something completely different, it's really flexible. Also you get subsecond finality, no reorgs, and MEV immunity for free.

He said fall release date because summer months are slow in tech and not a good time to make releases. Jan seems like he’s ready to go on his end. I hope they get the marketplace up soon too, because I think that’ll probably need to be fine tuned to scale up if pay with BAT is close. How can they ship to names and addresses and maintain user privacy?
