Because of the age we live in, it's inevitable that the pot will take a bit more stirring for that to happen. There are way too many fail-safes to keep peace for Ukraine alone to kickstart the war but the domino has nevertheless fallen, it may take longer but the whole board will go down eventually. We are already seeing some of the economic consequences now, and those consequences will take even more pieces down with them. At this point it's almost inevitable. It could take a couple years but it's gonna happen. Just look at the situation as it is now, the economy, the political situations with leaders resigning one after another, it's not rocket science.

Crypto is extremely volatile during crisis (for now, at least). But all of that volatility has included the usa. Perhaps a non-north american destabilizing event would cause this to happen. That's mainly why I chose aud. It's a major currency in a major economic hub. But they are not a major trade partner with US (not to the extent of canada, japan, eu).

Anyways, this is all completely speculative theorycrafting.
