He probably has an index fund that a CFA/CPA/wealth management team insisted on. He probably has significant holdings in properties and LLCs which hold properties. All of this is organized through trusts and other tax shelter structures that make his financial circumstances as complicated as humanly possible. In spite of this the majority of his activity financially comes from individual stock picking on companies that have zero shot of going anywhere, but the act of choosing these companies makes him think he has secret insight.

He then proceeds to influence the global economic system in accordance with his functional penny stock shit picks. So if he buys some company that claims they can make ice cream out of cricket jizz, he then begins to believe crickets are the future, and actively begins promoting crickets even though this is only because he is rationalizing a decision he already made to buy Cricket Jizz Inc. It's the oligarch equivalent of talking your book. I have helped manage clients in the super net worth category for the past decade. It is sanity eroding.
