When i was a good wagie, i once put in my two week notice and my manager, who i had a fairly good opinion of, let me go on the spot. Now compare that to my last wagie job where I literally got up and walked out only for them to ask me to stay another two weeks to reconsider(aka to help train my replacement).

when i made it from neo / xvg and finished cashing out the money and making sure all the taxes were accounted for, i literally just got up and left in the middle of lunch after working at a company i hated for years and had an important role in a project they were pushing hard for
it was one of the most liberating feelings of my life
