If you're a LINK OG you know how relentlessly we tried to fud Reddit away from LINK. Ultimately this resulted in a great deal of disinformation being spread across the endless bounds of the Internet.

Here's the thing, though: Reddit was NEVER going to buy Chainlink. Reddit buys memes and cults of personality, and LINK is neither.

Instead, the end result of that fud is that big dick investors won't buy Chainlink. Because guess what - most VCs and rich people who like to invest speculatively are actually Reddit tier when it comes to their mental capacity. Getting a Harvard degree only requires you to be a good test taker, it does not require your ability to think critically or to understand difficult concepts or have an eye for innovation, good business sense, etc.

I work in web3 and have talked to multiple VCs and very rich/influential people where when I bring up Chainlink they go "Hmm I think I've heard of that, isn't that a scam?" or they ask "why does anyone actually need oracles?" When you explain Chainlink to them in simple terms their eyes light up like little children, like you just bestowed them a gift.

The reason Chainlink's price doesn't reflect its usage is because of you. Because you fudded rich people away from buying and never got the kind of pumps that lead to true establishment of high tier pricing. Yes, Redditards would have eventually followed on once the price pumped high enough and would then be LINK baggies who bought at $500, $1000 etc before it dropped back down to $300 or so, but you would have made it.

That being said, this is all just opportunity cost. Post-CCIP it will be very apparent to everyone how groundbreaking the tech is and LINK will begin a climb. However, Redditards will get the chance to buy at $20, $30, $40, etc. instead of buying in the hundreds. And you will make it, but it will take a very long time.

So all is not lost, but you fucked yourselves and gave Reddit a gift. Congrats on that, seriously.

Actually a fair amount of redditors have bought in. There was a debate a while back on r/cc about whether its undervalued. Of course now that its been revealed that the team had deep ties with celsius and stood by idle while they wrecked their own community, a lot of them will probably jump ship, and rightfully so.
