What goes through the brain of a hodler when he sees his 10x gains disappearing? The fascinating thing is they don't settle for 9x, 8x all the way to 2x. No they must hodl all the way to get lower than previous ATH. In their heads, it is better to be a millionaire at 40 than having hundreds of thousands of $$$ in their mid 20s, and this is ignoring the fact they can buy back in.

that depends on your ability to time the top
as it stand the upside is higher than the downside so if you held through a dump it is better to continue holding for the next cycle
missing out on paper gains is not great but it is not terrible either
missing out on a moonrun because you sold too early or sold the bottom now that is suicide tier as the opportunity never comes back any gains upwards in MC are permanent

also childhood trauma from watching my parents sell the house right before the 27 year moonmission and being reduced to perma rentcucks forever because of it
and its not like th hodler lives on the street he just still goes to the cagie like he used to his lifestyle didn't change

My brother did this. He claims to feel no regret, but he has better principles, he only invests in things with intrinsic value, which crypto have none of.

I’m down $176k since the top in November.
I won’t be cashing out for another 20-30 years though, so I’m really not worried about it.
