I had 3 clients call in today to put all of their fucking money into this Chink pump and dump scheme $ILAG stock.
Stock was IPOed at $5, started trading at $20, went up to $26 and... back to $5.
2 of those client some nice paper gains at some point.
They were told from this Chink guy on Telegram to get out at $40.
They decided to keep on holding and now lost over 70% of their portfolio.

Good job Chinks

>The chart below shows the volume of “reverse repurchases” the Fed currently has on its balance sheet. Every day, over $2 trillion in cash balances are conveyed to the Fed by banks, government-sponsored enterprises, and money market funds, in return for overnight “interest.” This operation essentially creates “synthetic” money-market assets for these entities, because the Fed insists on holding the actual money market assets (Treasury securities) on its own balance sheet, for reasons that seem unclear even to the FOMC

There are of course positives about it, like the fact they seem to create alot of buzz (organic or not) about their original programming, the fact alot of boomers seem to think its the only streaming service, their app is better than the others (but only really because the others are shit).

Ultimately I think there is a company that fits what you're looking for, i.e., big tech company that took a recent beating and is back to 2017 levels in spite of lots of stellar factors/profitability going for it--and that company is Meta. But I'm also weary of touching that, lel

Fidelity. I'm doing 3mo short term for some tax reasons and then moving into a ladder. I may reduce the size of the ladder as I invest, currently each row is 300k chunks. Once I get to year long t-bills, then basically one of the 4 is maturing every 3 months which keeps my liquidity reasonable. I also have some cash in a HYS and a bit in the Fidelity treasury money market in case I want to buy immediately.

You can also buy them directly from the Treasury like an I Bond. It's just easier for me to do it in Fidelity because my stocks are in there too.

the 1 year pay higher rates and by laddering you're getting a maturity every 3 months to move into the current rate. last time we raised rates (not that today is the same) it was over a period of 4 years, so a ladder with maturities every 3 months isn't too crazy. but, hindsight is 20/20, and in this case a shorter ladder might work better because we're raising them fast. hard to say.

As far as Chile goes, how cozy are they with the US govt, and does the nationalization of their resources guarantee a source for our industry/allied industry? Something on the order of the Petroleum Reserve or our Helium reserve might be applicable in the future. It depends on how recyclable the materials are, and how they can be stored in a usable form.
