And no things are not cheap in philippines either. Especially if you're in even semi popular cities the prices are higher than America, for example. Everything. Then the flips will start asking you for free money (there are so many ways this happens), bait & switching, centralized ownership of businesses are using software to track&scam to in real time, your phone is constantly under attack from the phone carriers themselves; they're clearly inside your phone doing shit, they'll recommend vacation spots that don't even have what's advertised, police are targeting everyone for money extraction & then you get stuck with big bills for nothing in return....
And remember, this is all happening while people are being nasty to you, you're hot&sticky all day and night and you're paying out the ass for it; an average of 2.5x higher prices than just a few years ago for an equal quality experience at best - I am not shitting you quality of service and goods have decreased while prices went up.
