Boomers are biding their timw to exact revenge against the great resignation. I will never go back into the office though. Would rather be homeless. I say this as a capitalist who simply wants wages reminiscent of the American dream, but OP writer idea how committed the actual antiwork commies are. These people are done. Most people have thrown in the towel on that dream. Society looks bleak, and futureless. We will not work. Let's see how long your "upper hand" lasts.

It's worth remembering that everybody eventually gets too old to take care of themselves, and that the conditions in nursing homes are fucking grim. Then, and only then, the rich, childless boomer realizes the human cost of their fifty-year race to the bottom, as they languish in an airless, cheap hospital room that smells like piss and are manhandled to the mess hall twice a day by a nigger who doesn't care about them and doesn't get paid enough to mind getting fired for leaving bruises. Maybe the boomer could have afforded better, once, but after the insurance company declined to pay for that specific subtype of squamous gall bladder cancer treatment conducted on a tuesday, they had to pay up, and that was expensive, and so they can't afford the really cushy nursing home for elites. If they hadn't aborted their children, maybe they would get to live out their twilight years in the care of someone who truly cares about them, and if they hadn't spent thirty years importing third worlders to drive down labor costs, maybe their local nursing home would employ people who are compensated to pretend to care for eight hours a day, but they did both of those things, and so the wealthy, grabbling boomer gets to go out with all the dignity and comfort of a pauper.

They promoted destruction of big strong families. Individualism was propped up to be more important than family. That led to the situation where people are alone when they need help. Everyone needs help at some point and that's when family is often who supports you.
People don't understand how immigrants working below min wage jobs are able to live and even save money while young yuppies making 6 figures live paycheck to paycheck.
It's not easy to force a person who has support network to work 2-3 jobs. If the person is alone then he will take whatever shit job he is offered.

The answer to the bullshit that is going on is family. Simple as

Imagine if people weren't smoke-screened by these agendas and actually opened there eyes to reality of the situation: massive wealth inequality that has gone parabolic in the last 12 years. There's literally thousands of people dying in the street because they can't afford a home. Its right in front of their eyes. But instead they blame it on squarely on "racism" and "mental health".

I was listening to Marketplace on NPR a month ago when there was talks of the Fed hike and the entire show was about "trans rights". The headline was how "trans kids" in red states need to travel to other blue states for their "therapy" and medical procedures and that the travel is causing financial hardship for the family. They listen to this on their airpods as they walk by dying homeless people. Then they wonder why the world is so fucked and why they don't have it as good as their parents. And the cycle continues.

The lay off has started in all sector of the economy. Most crypto companies are re-sizing at this time and you'll hardly see those hiring. Some are laid off 40% already. I'm still keen on running ambassador roles with Subsquid. They are still filling some slots. Better to have something at hand during this recession.
