Biggedt problem with renewables (besides having low energy output compared to fossil fuels) is that creating renewable "industry" takes fossil industry. How are you gonna build, assemble and transport wind turbines without fossil fuel powered trucks and machinery? How will you build solar panels and batteries which require rare earth metals which sre extracted by heavy diesel powered machinery?
How will you maintain your supply lines without ships that rund on bunker oil and diesel trucks? Good luck powering those on batteries. And don't get me started on nitrogen fertilizers.
