Sand. I don't have an infograph but basically, coastal sand is used for making portland cement, which is used as a binder for mortar and used in concrete. Non renewable, beach theft is a thing, and you can't dredge the seafloor for ecological reasons. Construction aggregate industry is interesting to me.
(There's also desert sand which is used for fracking, semiconductors, and glasswares)

Personally I have a few shares of Holcim (HCMLY) and I've seen at least two anons with SLCA (desert sand). I'm happy to shill you my bags, but basically if you want sand exposure, you usually need a construction aggregate company.

some very interesting news / opinion here in this article. Huckleberry Copper Mine, owned by Imperial Metals may be formally going up on the market.
https://bcyukonmining.com/2022/06/29/huckleberry-mine-for-sale/

If true, there are a lot of major players in the province who could be interested, not just including nearby projects like Surge Copper. Huckleberry was mothballed in 2016 due to poor copper prices, which have since tripled in recent years. Its time for someone new to take over Huckleberry.

Been watching CHPT for a week or two. The yellow dots are sold calls from institutions and the hollow one is a sold put, all with "unusual" daily volume.
You can see the downward trend its following, which are likely CCs sold just outside of resistance. However in August, there's suddenly deep OTM calls sold. What? And then today, a larger position (10k options) sold at $13.00 strike. The 9MA (yellow) also just broke above the 50, though everything is still quite far below the 200. I think after Jul 15th exp, we'll see some explosive upside (eg 20% movement).
Not sure of the exact PTs right now, but I might go long on 20 shares or something

LMAO Chinks tried to create disinfo shilling campaigns against Appia Rare Earths (amongst others) online to tarnish their image.

Glad I sold at 0.70, it’s taken a nose dive since. I’m quite sure it’s more to do with the interest rate environment souring for small unprofitable juniors like Appia, but some of it could have been the Chinese short attempts.

Anyone see other attacks like this? There’s Justin Riddle vs. Bayhorse but that’s either a LARP or not significant enough compared to this broad Chinese disinformation campaign.

Yeah that's right, a bit more than I thought at first glance. The 15% extra optional from the PP will probably be filled as well for a bit extra dilution. But the two new mines should more than double production so still a good trade off.
Seems pretty bad though that they had to give a full warrant at just 50% higher than market price for an entire 36 months when I'm pretty sure the stock is going to bounce on this news. Half a warrant for 24 months should have been plenty to fill this placement.
But what do I care, I wouldn't invest in Mexico anyway.

The commodities cycle demands it. Equities and everything else is built on commodities. Unless you are giving nude yoga and ritualistic dance lessons on a piece of timber you found in the middle of a river, then you can't have a business or anything else that resembles a human experience without physical assets and the ownership/directorship thereof. Who owns/directs assets is a political issue, clearly. But even socialists require capital, hard assets. They represent the labor value that the proponents of the actual labor theory of value attempt to disregard as bourgeois oppression, theft, whatever.

Not him but I don't know what to expect, I just know that Gary Savage knows more than I do so I don't want to risk shorting. Swinging oil is risky enough for me, I'd rather leave the cash alone and miss potential gains than reduce it through a failed short.

>> No.50097073

My understanding of the Bond Market is that it's forward looking on expectations of policy rates, adjusting for a risk premium. A drop in 75bp from peak means at minimum it expects 75bp less hiking before the pivot. I interpret this to mean the pivot is coming sooner, at least relative to the recent peak. Notice how the peak was around the last Fed meeting when JPow was touting "the economy is strong" as a basis for his current policy plans. Recent indicators show it is wavering, so the yield drop is expectation of policy changes.

Anon, junior mining stocks make 200-500% moves in 6-24 month time frames. Really they are lottery tickets but if you manage to understand the ranges they generally move in and how they are leveraged to silver you get a buying opportunity because the entire market is down and will eventually go to normal sentiment or we experience the bugs and revelation.

I am not a swingoid but bhs makes 5x moves. Honestly if it works out great but if not there is money to be made once the nigger cattle rush into silver, bhs and other small junior explorers.

Who knows they may be rerated in Q3 as they said. If not as long as silver pumps to 30 I will be able to get an easy 3-4 bagger.

Ancient buried river channel that was buried over by previous miners in a hurry to get the gut of the original creek bed. Someone else came along later and developed a great looking ground sluice trench that I tested and found exceptional gold in my first few pans. After two weeks of hard development work ive gotten nearly an ounce from just hand digging with minimal effort. My hope now is that the same channel material appears further into the bank, but to test this i ll need to auger drill or drive a serious trench into the slope, probably with ground sluicing. Lots of work to figure out if this spot is worth mechanically mining.

My spot over in trinity is near one of the most productive mining areas in the state. There's tons of ancient equipment around that area, museums, even a few old farts that worked mines before they got shoah'd. I'm no geologist but I carry a pan and tools when I fish streams and rivers. It's nice to find some exposed hard pan or loose overburden exposed after rains subside. Sadly, unless you have a game plan for stealthy work then California will show no mercy if they find you with more than a pan and tiny folding sluice.

My feeling is that its a typical "hot spot" sort of outcrop. There is a trend going North to South ish in that region that generates stunning nuggety quartz veins like that but its never been worth mining due to 99% of the vein being blank, only near surface outcrops carry high values for gold. I am thinking when i head to the Babines this summer I ll make a trip up to this spot and have a look, as well as sample the creeks. If there isnt any gold in the streams nearby, than its probably bullshit. Still pic related would blow my mind if i found it in a logging outcrop.
