Yea I think that’s actually the problem right now it’s backed by nothing. You can burn trx to mint usdd but not the other way around, but obviously that’s useless if it’s below a dollar. So usdd might well just go to zero, but TRX wouldn’t be affected since you can’t mint it for usdd yet causing a death spiral. And usdds mcap isn’t nearly as high as USTs was anyway. So likely this will just cause some people to lose money on USDD, tron will go down a little because of the confidence loss from the failed algo stable and then people will move on. Oft if it doesn’t fail yet and the mcap of USDD keeps growing and they turn on the feedback loop there will be another Luna rugpull down the line.
