Why do I never so anyone here talking about swapping based on GSR? Everyone is talking about spot price which just shows how weak your money is and not a reflection of PM value.

I'm having to sell some of my silver to help with the down payment on a FHA loan. (Yeah, poorfag, I know.)

I figured I'd sell the PG&G bars here and the ASEs / leafs through eBay.

PG&G bars: 5 oz, $125 each, free shipping. I take PayPal.

Can I just exchange into physical gold somehow without paying capital gains? Is there anything akin to a 1031 like-kind exchange? If not it feels like I'm facing a huge loss to double taxation - capital gains on the way in (from cashing out the mutual fund) and again whenever I decide to sell. To be clear I'm interested in physical metals, not ETF's or other stocks.

I just grabbed the image for shitposting purposes, but yes. Upon further review, the 3/4 ozt gold commemorative is almost exactly the same dimensions as a regular half dollar.
>The 2014-W Kennedy gold half dollar was the hottest coin in the summer of 2014 with a product launch at the American (((Numismatic))) Association World’s Fair of Money and sales at the U.S. Mint’s sales centers attracting (((national news))) attention.
>Demand in those first weeks was frantic! Coins released during the first day of the 2014 ANA show were selling in excess of $3,000 days later (the initial price from the U.S. Mint was $1,240) and dealers looking to amass quantities of the coins were paying people to wait in line overnight at the ANA show.
>Prices have since settled down, and on July 24 a 2014-W Kennedy gold half dollar graded PCGS Proof 70 Deep Cameo with a special First Strike Chicago ANA label brought $1,441 at a GreatCollections auction. That amount is perhaps half of what it would have sold for in the late summer of 2014.

Depends on where you live. Here in Florida it's absolutely impossible, every old fart scrapped their sterling ages ago and wants big prices for silverplate trash. Most sterling I ever even found in "the wild" was a sterling saltshaker set for $68, (might have not even actually been sterling, it was simply called "sterling co") and it was only the absurdly tiny caps that were sterling. From what I understand a lot of the scrapchads live in New England where a lot of old money and dumb young people are.

silverchads, inaccurate scale or jmbullion scem?

100oz bar feel so damn good in my hands tho fuck. Never had one so big. Haven't held any PMs for about two years, sold it all to get into brypto. Made so much paper profits then lost so much paper profits lol, still exited with a modest gain but now i think silver is gonna go up a lot the next couple of years so I'm trying to stack. Shit is addicting opening the packaging just makes me wanna go yolo buy 5 more bars.

Also question on spot price, is it just me or is the physical premium higher than it was a few years ago? Was wondering if that could be partially due to a depegging from physical and paper? Would make sense since the paper markets are complete manipulated horse shit. What does this mean for silverchads? Cuz desu I just think price gonna go up so wanna capitalize on that, not total doomer that's planning on using it to bet on the complete collapse of everything. Could physical and paper completely decorrelate? Makes sense to me because you can't redeem paper for physical and people that really want silver aren't gonna settle for a number on a screen. Idk

Soz for blogpost excited to be back to stacking

Most Goodwills screen out the good stuff to auction online, though I've found a nice amount there. You want to go to estate sales and auctions for cheap sterling because everything gets sold including heirlooms, whereas at garage sales it's all unwanted stuff so good silver isn't a common score. I had the thought just lastnight while watching videos about the crash as it plays out in our first world nations.

The central theme across the youtubers is: FUUUUUCK. They aare just making half hour videos that summarize (faithfully) to "panic selling in a crash is how you get cheapies and you NEED to be out of the dollar". Nothing new or insightful (compared to our schitzorant forum), but then there is my own schitzo interest in the PMs and faith in the price suppression theory and evidence.

Now, SOME of the youtubers actually mentioned assets and investments and one went into mining stonks ang physical holdings with the same thoughts we have on the matter here. What was critical if you are looking at mining stocks? VALIDATED claims. A simple press release about possible findings means nothing but the majority of investors are (this is my own conclusion and summary) too science illiterate to even realize peer review by unbiased sources is the ONLY way to validate a claim that caught your interest.

So, my response to (You) for the sake of the discussion hearing it at large is: simple last second price smash FUD.

Frens... HOW THE FUCK CLOSE ARE WE TO SHIT HAPPENING FINALLY IF NORMIE INVESTOR FUD WAS JUST FABRICATED ABOUT A VALUE CRASHING CLAIM HAVING BEEN FOUND?

What I have to say is I am getting panicky about dumping any wealth I can into silver, whether this is even true or not the GSR still favors silver and the debt bubble is soo deep that both STILL must moon. Metals mean EVERYTHING as a new economic paradigm is ushered in and we have a plandemic leading directly into a metal FUD of laughable proportions? I say stop averaging in and buy THIS crash... NOW.

to be honest i think there has been some sort of translation error out on this. The government is saying they have found a major gold deposit, possibly one of the richest out there (based entirely on only the most basic exploration work you can do). I think were seeing another "mountain of gold" situation here, where one press release suddenly gets spun out of proportion. Even if the ore they claim to have found is as good as they say it is, they cant do anything with it for years as it takes years (sometimes a decade) to build a mine from the ground up. The country in question is in no shape to build infrastructure for such a project, even with chinese backing, they will need more investment, which is what the news release was for, to drive up investment into the country. This has failed in the past and will likely fail again as western exploration cos have been burned in the past there, some for hundreds of millions.

Trash is also another safe bet if youre hobby hunting. I have about 10 ounces of coins from trash. And a mix of jewelery that i relost/traded throughout the years.

Here in Jersey we have a huge flea market to unload the junk.. because youre more likely to find laptops, tools and cellphones than silver of course. But it does still exist in the trash.

At one point i rented a 10x30 storage unit and for houses doing spring cleaning/moving and bags clearly full of things not food trash, id just load the truck and sort it out back at the storage.

I can post a copy of the PG&G receipt if you like, and they will buy back anything with their mint mark.

As far as trusting me personally, I've got more important shit to do than screw people over, but it's your call in the end.

Don't waste your time with the plebs here, sell those 5oz bars for an extra $50 each on eBay, after fees you'll still pocket way more

It's Uganda, but let's assume it's legit. By the time they get ready to extract the ore there will have been 2 civil wars and a genocide and any gold pulled out will disappear into some warlords coffers.

Happy to help fren, obnoxious eBay premiums are another reason I love PG&G stuff. Turning $5/oz scrap silver into $35/oz artisanal handpours is based.

You should not be associating with retards and you should absolutely NOT be buying any precious metals. You should go all in on crypto and stocks. Picrel is what you should absolutely not be buying ever.

I'm 99.9% sure it's a genuine coin. You can look at other elements in the photo, they all seem double-vision like due to the dude's shaky hands.
Francs are based tho and honestly, 20 is a lot more pleasurable to hold than 10
