49702161 No.49702161 [Reply] [Original]

>Energy-intensive industries are shutting their European factories.
>European commodity producers and manufacturers are reeling from high energy prices, thanks in large part to the Ukraine crisis. Europe's industrial energy costs have skyrocketed in the wake of Russia's war on Ukraine, severely denting manufacturers' ability to compete in the global marketplace, with natural gas three times more expensive in Europe than in the U.S.
>In fact, the situation has grown so bleak that energy-intensive industries such as steel, chemical, and fertilizer manufacturing are shutting their European factories amid soaring oil and gas costs as well as growing concerns that Russia may cut off its supply.

That he has NATO on his border, closer to Saint Petersburg and about as close to Moscow as Ukraine (the rest of Russia doesn't matter).

Clearly the problem to Putin is not NATO as an offensive threat. It's already next to him and it's not a threat to begin with. The problem to Putin is that NATO could stop him from bullying a neighbour into installing a puppet whenever he wants.

Maybe EU/NATO should have just left him alone to bully all his neighbours, but the ship sailed when Baltics joined. What they are going to do now? Cut them lose and tell Putin to have at them?

Actually, this war is the result of saying "No means no!" and then following thru on self-defense.
A timeline where Missile systems haven't encircled Russia doesn't exist. Russians are just hard coded to behave this way. Fuckem

Russia would've invaded Ukraine whenever they felt themselves strong enough to do so, just like they invaded Chechnya and Georgia already. If Georgia or Ukraine comes to you wanting protection for Russia, what are you supposed to say?
>Umm sorry bro.. Russia warned us about this... they won't feel secure if you become part of NATO so you have to be part of Russia again because of the balance of power

Putin literally in his own words compares himself to Peter the Great - a relic dictator whose policies were questionable even 300 years ago. Literally nobody wanted Putin to take this dumbfuck old fashioned outdated stance to invade like the black powder era.

All EU had to do was not let Russians invade the only other country that could supply them with cheap gas & oil that Ukraine was slowly starting to prospect and develop since 2010 in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.
Russia violated it's signed agreement to not annex Ukrainian territory already with Crimea but EU decided to remain retarded and neural and appease the gas station country named "Russia".
And now we're living with the consequences of them also attempting to cede all of the eastern parts of Ukraine that held the remaining 50% natural resources while EU is shooting itself in the foot (mostly thanks to Germany and heir retarded logic of green laws killing nuclear plants).
I despise every single one of those spineless c u c k s in the EU parliament not foreseeing that this will play out like this.

All I need is to read the Russian propaganda :
”On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians“ is basically the prelude to the Ukraine invasion. Russian troops actually had to read this for preparation.
http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/66181
Anti-Baltics propaganda has already begun too :
"Baltic states’ treatment of Russians reminiscent of true apartheid, says Russian official "
https://tass.com/politics/1340553

See the way the wind is blowing, no need for mainstream media propaganda. Just need to pay attention to what Russia is saying.

>How fucked is Europe?
Wrong question. Correct question would be how fucked does Europe has to get for people to start openly hating on green parties, kicking them out of parliaments and start fracking?
Even the said germany has enough gas for many years to come, but the greens are sabotaging fracking and nuclear very hard. The crisis need to hit certain point for people to turn on against those saboteurs.

I feel like Ukraine and even Russia are kinda irrelevant in all this. It's democrats plot to fuck up EU and make EU companies and industry noncompetitive against US ones by cutting if from it's supply or cheap energy. Like VW became bigger than GM, Airbus is bigger than Boeing and democrats won't allow that anymore.
So far plan is working like a fucking dream.
Am I becoming schizo?

Europe’s green parties are owned by the US. That’s why they shut down your nuke plants. Syria was supposed to fall so the pipeline could be built and you’d be entirely dependent on Saudi oil while you refitted for American lng, cutting out Russia entirely and further cornering them. Didn’t work out that way, but Europe still had institutional inertia and hasn’t decided to pivot away from the now weakened and discredited American sphere of influence.

Fracking is utter cancer and shouldn't be allowed. Nuclear is luckily still planned in smarter nations of europe.

>> No.49719981

>>49719820
Fracking is neccessary short term solution. Getting nuclear back from zero might take too long, fracking can be done pretty much immidiately.
The point of fracking is to ensure industrial security. Germany will be able to buy gas and still be completely independant on import and immune to crisis if they forbid the fracking gas export.
Of course 10 years after that some other solution can be found, that is actually scientifically reasonable (not le meme solar).
>>49719769
Of course. Just like the alt right and far left memes are funded by russia. Both sides need to be shut down to such point, that even mentioning "green energy" should get you questioned by policemen.
Any dependancy, be it USA or Russia is the end of EU. They need to be able to fully act on their own, which means any foreign influence should be utterly demolished.

That's russian pushed narrative. They aren't friends either. To me both Ukraine and Russia should be irrelevant, as i said in post above, full independancy is better than jumping between russian and american cock back and forth.

There is some truth to this, i do think this is more true of UK than US. US generally still somewhat cares about the economy of their vassal states, and on a general level US does not want to see their vassal states collapse, but certain factions within the US do not have those concerns. neocons will stop at nothing in their quest to destroy Russia (and China), they do not care if millions of Europeans starve. neo-liberals want to fulfill their green agenda, and welcome European sanctions on Russian energy and de-industrialization.

No chance, Macron is about to become a lame duck president, because he will not have a majority in the parliament. He also does not really have power to do that as the president of France. I don't think so, after all many people in EU parliament are aware of EU not being fully independent entity. Like I'm from Croatia and even our shitty deputy in EU had speech on that topic which is just that - only observation of the facts you have no power to change.
>>Speaking in front of the EU Parliament last week, Kolakusic told his fellow parliamentarians:
>>“It is an incredible lie and hypocrisy that the sanctions against Russia and a ban on imports of Russian oil and gas are sanctions against Russia. The sanctions are directed at 500 million citizens of the European Union and millions of citizens of the rest of Europe,” he claimed
