Buying seeds and starting a small garden. Mostly beans as they don't require a lot of space, are easy to grow, and beans last for years after harvest.

Not an ad-post, but if you just search "buy wholesale dry food" you can find a good one.

Nice, I would do the same, but I live in an apartment in the city, so all I can reasonably grow is weed indoors.

I am gonna keep that shit dry. Even then, if I have weevils I'll just cook and eat em, just like sailors and soldiers did back in the day. Free complete proteins.

Have a small garden. Trying not to eat out but I have a gf so I almost have to once and a while. Recently fell back in love with the styrofoam maruchan lunches again and those cost like 40 cents or so.

Nothing, I don't "save" on food. I buy what I feel like eating the following week every Saturday
If I want to save money I drive less, don't run the A/C as often, spend less on vidya, but food is the one thing I don't try to save on as it's the one thing in my life I NEED to do so I might as well enjoy it

You can always just spend the time cooking a fancy meal together like fresh homemade pasta or lobster. I think most reasonable women appreciate a that as much as going out to a restaurant.

Entirely cut down on restaurants and food delivery. For a lazy fuck like me who hate to prepare my food, that was a HUGE game changer.
I used to get delivered twice on weekends in average, + 1/2 restaurants per week. This amounted to $100/week.

First months it was kinda hard to deal with the craving, but now i'm having an extra $400 EOM to play with, i'm really glad i did so.

Other than that.. not much really. I condition myself into immediately going into the "promotion" section of my supermarket first so i get the cheapies i can find, then do the rest of my shopping afterward. If a really good deal is availible i load up the cart and freeze it so it last me longer.

Also i try to prepare some chink rice (hot) "salads" more often as they are really filling and don't contain much meat beside ham/chicken. Overall i cut on beef because the prices are really absurd rn.

That's all. I'd say in total i save maybe $500/mo doing so, but the vast majority of it is banishing any restaurants/deliveries.

Also i expect to be fired very soon as our company is deep in the red since a while now. If i can't manage to get hired elsewhere, i've really no ideas how i'll do.

Eat zee seeds, grains, beans, legumes, and nuts. Any dried bulk foods end up being $1.5 per pound. You can sustain yourself for about $3 per day.

My goal aint to live like a korean medieval serf bro. If i really need to cut corners one day, food wont be my top priority.
Hobbies will go first. Then i'll rent a smaller place, buy a smaller car who don't consoom even a third of what my coupe sport currently slurp. I'll stop buying clothes (already started), cut my hair myself, stay at homes during holidays... Eventually if we really plunge into extreme depression i'll do nothing but play vydia as distraction and go full frugal, and only then i'll consider stop buying the food i like.

ps: half my food budget is cheese. I eat cheese non stop every day. I can't imagine my life without it.
