The 30d tracker shows 1.75 million tokens. So 21 million tokens a year assuming this was an average month or $168,000,000 a year at the current price of ~$8. >>49409125>1.75M/monthAs others have noted, this is not a good way to do it.A closer approximation is 32k per day (activity is low, Ill grant you that), as such with the current usage we are looking at about 12M link per year in terms of rewards (we might get node incentives as well, but what do I know).Gas costs over the last seven days, if you take the average price of link being 7, has eaten up 50% of the revenue. Im not counting any other costs that can come from running a node, that I assume are negligible compared to this.If we assume, that 60% of the tokens will be stacked, you will get about 2% per year.>what about CCIPWill probably not see much use in the immediate

Why is link the only crypto harshly judged on exactly how profitable it is, to the point that math autists have arguments with each other over dozens of posts over fine details, when literally everything else in crypto does virtually nothing? Even the leading current value capture in the space, eth (and by extension bnb) serve only 1 purpose, as gas to trade other worthless cryptos. There seems to be an assumption that speculators will never look at link, and it will only ever be valued based on exactly what it provides, while everything else in the space remains massively, massively inflated.
>>49410733Because we are mentally ill due to the price action sir.
>>49410733Because LINK is an actual project targeting the real world whereas everything else is casino. When betting all on red, do you calculate profit margins and growth potential? When buying pharmaceutical stock, do you rely on meme magic and numerology? LINK is being treated like a boomer stock because it essentially is one. It's also the reason it didn't moon wildly btw, too many LINK investors are the kind of person who expects to see steady 5-15% a year and every price increase starting with x looks like a bubble sell signal to them.
>>49410831nice timestamp, and correct. it is the closest to fair value of any non stablecoin
>>49410733its the burden of link being one of the only worthwhile projects but on the backend, so they dont engage in retail marketing, have no vc backers, speculators dont care about it, so it has to thrive via adoption
>>49408544While wait u ass on that anon,Real estate industry is the next area where you should be focusing on. With low fees that UTK enables.

>>49411383thanks man, I've actually been trying to figure that out all day. Also according to tokenterminal CVX is earning like 60mm per year which is much less than I saw here a while ago. https://twitter.com/tokenterminal/status/1532737988001767426?s=20&t=SucuthOmNl_EPPaJbC-16QBut I think ETH actually is earning more in revenue per year than link by an order of 10 or so
>>49411383Excellent use of the word nonce.
>>494111872.5k
>>49411484np, I learned this the hard way thinking quickswap was the best things since sliced bread because it made 100mm a year with a 100mm market cap until I eventually realised the token rewards to LP providers made it barely break even and once they dry up the project is dead
avax may exceed $30 this week
>>49411484ETH is earning more than link due to shitcoin casino, it drops like crazy in bear markets. Link will too of course, but the difference is link is attempting to bridge the gap between a closed off ponzi and the real world. Ironically if link bridges that gap, eth will benefit in the short term but it'll be a race to zero in the long term with CCIP eliminating the moat for L1's.
This is actually pretty fucking good if you ask me. You get 2% on a investment with endless growth potential and that potential will probably materialize so fucking fast.

bros should I just live off staking or sell next time we will be bullish? So tired of waging I need freedom.
>>49411738so can you help me understand how you should calculate eth earnings? 260m revenue past 30 days and you take into account inflation which is 3% yearly if you use past 30 day metrics.
>>49412077The point is eth's revenue has direct value capture because its spent as gas to transact on its network. However, this is reliant on transactions on the ethereum network. If people aren't transacting, which happens in a crypto bear market, those numbers will crater. And when the next cycle heats up, they'll explode again. This is why eth follows bitcoin and is reliant on it to make moves. Link is literally the only project in crypto right now attempting to break that cycle, by onboarding enterprise so crypto can be used for real world usecases rather than trading ponzi tokens, it starts in November with swift and potentially even sooner than that depending what gets announced at the next 2 events. Its also why link has had an asynchronous cycle with respect to bitcoin, and will continue to in the future, and why link/eth is a shitty metric that never mattered in the first place.
>>49411960It's also interesting that there's only 30 days of data. We can't go back and see how profitable the network was back during the bull run -- post-LFG meltdown unambiguous bear market numbers only. Reminds me of the hiding strategy meme. I'd encourage the subcontinent dwellers and turmeric monsters haunting this website to create a thread using publicly available data detailing the profitability of other crypto networks so that we can compare them to Chainlink objectively.
>>49412152Anon I have an idea. Wont staking increase revenue to the network, even if we assume all services offered stay the same? I believe that node operators rn are charging only what they need to pay their own team and cover their own costs. Wont they need to charge more in fees in order to be able to pay the people that stake on their node and attract collateral? I think chainlink nodes are currently too cheap.
>>49412252soon
>>49412252I brought this up earlier but everyone got distracted with trannies
>>49412290
>>49412283It will increase revenue to the network but not in the way you're describing, rather, there are jobs right now that want to use the link network but can't due to issues with security. I don't think it has to be spelled out for most anons, but swift is literally waiting on staking to begin using the link network, and once that happens the floodgates open to other enterprise usecases.

>>49412567swift will be the last to officially adopt chainlink.
>>49412880Not sure on the exact numbers but my point was everything that has happened in crypto up until now is fake and gay, that is to say, its a bunch of whales throwing money around at nothing and playing musical chairs with each other. Think of it this way, if you own a casino, and once every 4 years you make insane profits, but for 2 years you go nearly bankrupt and only begin to break even again in the third year, does it make sense to bother calculating your yearly revenue as a valuable metric? If anything you'd want to look at something like eth or bnb in 4 year cycles, since they just follow bitcoin with a multiplier when bull and a negative multiplier when bear. Link still follows the 4 year cycle as well and is correlated to bitcoin, but its cycle isn't in sync, which suggests its doing something different. Last cycle it started pumping in sats in the summer, even though Bitcoin still saw a 50% capitulation in USD from that point that killed off most alts and took eth all the way down to $80. Conversely, link's bull ended in August 2020 (vs btc anyways), while most alts only started their runs around December 2020 as bitcoin was going parabolic. Link is a leveraged bet that crypto is more than just a gambling casino ponzi. If you don't think it is, you shouldn't buy link. >>49412874Come on anon this is just the typical r9k poster imposter syndrome fear of success shit, same reason so many of you literally can't stop yourself from fudding day in and day out. Thinking big and having expectations isn't going to ruin link, and actually the opposite, if you prepare yourself for this, you'll be in a better state of mind. If you assume it can never happen, and then it does, you won't know what to do with yourself and will squander it.
>>49413511Should I just live off staking or sell next time we will be bullish? >>49413511Yeah im prepared for it and I hope it happens but im not gonna expect it. Reading the swift website all the stuff it says about this is almost like theyre trolling link marines with the constant use of the words "interlinking" and "interoperability" one thing I saw that gives me a bit of copium is they mentioned providing verified data
>>49413511Based effortposter rescuing dopamine levels. But I disagree. Having expectation is pretty bad for wageslave linkies, waking up each day, first thought being "did it happen while I slept? Am I a free man?", then checking the chart and seeing a -30% (or even a - 0.3% day after day, month after month) is brutal and there's no way to sugar coat it. Link is a very harsh hold for someone who isn't already financially independent, you can only be happy with what's going on if you don't really need it to do anything soon. It's not always self sabotaging robots, it's drowning people flailing around helplessly. And you said it yourself, a bet on LINK is a bet on crypto outgrowing its whale music chairs phase with all the pyramid schemes, dog coins, monkey jpegs and everything else smelling of summer. Bitcoin will survive and probably even prosper in a new great depression, but will ETH shitcoins? Will ADA? Is there any smartcontract L1 platform that would survive if people had to choose between heating and food? In 2 years yes, I'm betting my entire life savings on it. In one year very likely through integrations such as SWIFT (which may be in more danger than people realize, but that's for another conversation), but what about in 2 months? What if in July Poland fucks around with Russia a bit too much and Putin rolls the dice on article 5? What if governments addicted to emergency powers initiate another lockdown for some stupid cough, crushing whatever weak recovery and ultimately initiating the great reset? The modern world is not stable because it's build on solid foundations, it's stable because all of the forces pulling it apart balance themselves out due to the magic of the free market and incentives. That is usually good as it's self correcting against minor disruptions, but makes it vulnerable to shit hitting the fan big time. People are right to postpone picking the color of their yacht. >>49416609sergey was once pictured in a boat on vacation, the boat was #216. this is from his couch surfing account i believe, which people on /biz/ found back in the day. so this is where it gets weird. ari juels also wrote a fiction book that's a bit like the da vinci code for cryptographers (Tetraktys by ari juels, he had a talk at google about his book 10+ years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwpdC4HSDxg )ari juels's twitter username is arij216. in his book the number 216 appears a lot. people on /biz/ took notice of this, once at a fire side chat like i said in my other post, a couple of years ago this one girl ran up to ari at a fireside chat/link meetup that they had that was being live streamed. she was asking him some questions, she was kind of ditzy and autistic, and she let it be known to him that she was shitposting on /biz/ while talking to him and asking him some of our questions. he was pretty much going to walk away from her and was politely trying to let her down, but she asked him "Ari can you tell us about 216?!" and he froze for a second and stared at her and paused a bit. i forgot what he told her. but i remember his reaction.heres where it gets even more schizophrenic, 216 = 6*6*6. the chainlink logo is a Hexagon (6 sides). there is a storm on Saturn that has been going on for a long time. it's also curiously in the shape of a Hexagon on satellite photos. Saturn is the 6th planet in our solar system. we even have a day of the week named after Saturn, which is Saturday, formerly Sneed errmm i mean Saturnsday. there's a lot of triple 6's in hexagons and saturns is what im getting at. there is way more math stuff about this and even a lot of gematria stuff about this if you research it further. but that stuffs above my paygrade, i don't pay too much attention to those things. but there are a lot of weird things about the link team linking back to that 216 number.

>>49421533Proteins cant be formed without instructions from dna. There are a ridiculous amount of basic amno acid combinations before you get a working protein. Usually at least 150 chain. You are more likely by trillions and trillions and trillions of times to randomly grab a specific atom in the observable universe then life is to form randomly. Also look at the dna structure. There is a chemical bond between the horizontal axis but not the vertical. How can dna know which acid comes next inorder to have functioning life? The very fact of information proves God exists. Life cannot evolve in a marco condition because there are multiple components that all really on each other. If any one part doesnt function properly then the whole thing fails. Yet you're supposed to believe this early life survived hostile conditions? Also you can tell a galaxy's age by counting supernova remnants. Counting our galaxy gives a rough age of approximately 6500ish years.Carbon dating is very unreliable. Freshly dead mollusks are apparently over 3000 years ago. It's also circular reasoning because they date the substrate by fossils and fossils by substrate. Most religions have a world wide flood theory. Consider they found sea shells on top of Mt Everest. Also if there was a flood then the substrate would be displaced and arranged by hydro something (sorry i forgot what it's called). Here are some YouTube videos on this.>https://youtu.be/PYSmV2FlHDw>https://youtu.be/JiMqzN_YSXUAlso consider existence itself. Existence can only come from something that was already there. Aka an eternal uncreated God.The big bang theory is pretty retarded when you consider that explosions never result in ORDER.Notices it's "theory" or evolution and big bang "theory". >>49416018CCIP is friggin massive dude. It'll reinvent how developers manage their dapps. Currently, when you release a dapp, you deploy it on X blockchain's mainnet, then deploy it on Y blockchain mainnet (if you have Chainlink dependencies, you'll have to change addresses on your code), then you have to manage each dapp separately. If you're running a DEX, then you'll have liquidity pools split up between the difference blockchains. With CCIP, everything is merged together. No managing multiple version a la a developer managing their iOS and Android app. One main contract and you send commands to different blockchains. On top of that, there will be dapps that are so big that they'll want to stop wasting their time having their users pay for gas, and MEV on top of the dapp fees, so they'll plan to move onto their own chain, a roll up and then interface with Ethereum via CCIP. Uniswap is predicted to become its own chain. https://twitter.com/haydenzadams/status/1528580636029640705?s=20&t=-pS9hKcLwUt65psoTEojlwCheck this conversation of Uniswap with its founder. In the DeFi industry alone, CCIP will shake things up massively in letting BTC users and other non smartcontract chains play the shitcoin casino. The enterprise abstraction layer will be onboarding companies who've been building their permissioned and private blockchains for ages. Who knows how much they account for and how far they've progressed.

Chainlink is decentralized trust, Russia would be able to use it as easily as the rest of the world. Yes, I know the WEF has big plans for Chainlink, I just have no idea how they plan to pull it off. When you use chainlink oracles to power a smart contract, you explicitly specify the real world APIs to listen to for your data drip. ETH miners for instance can gather in a room and decide to fuck Russia with block order shenanigans, but Chainlink oracles are impartial by design.
