On one hand there is a lot of institutional money that would be in crypto if there were concrete regulation. Some big banks and fund managers want to buy crypto but have their hands tied and if even a few of them buy in that's relatively a lot of capital flowing into the crypto market.
On the other hand there are criminals and foreign organizations that use crypto who might get the fuck out depending on what regulation looks like. Depending on how large this part of the crypto space is, that could be a big loss. Personally I think it's a lot
Right now institutional money is moving into less volatile stuff. They just see crypto as another speculative asset regardless of the tech. And everyone is risking off so crypto is probably off the table unfortunately.
