US senators and shadowy corporate donors are pushing for bitcoin maximalism and the total destruction of alts and there is not a thing you can do about it.

if their goal is to regulate crypto in a way that makes sense, killing it with such retarded regulation seems counter productive.

So the implication here is that Cynthia Lummis wants to understand it and approach it in a way that will be beneficial and not destructive.

Eth will be a security too. There's no logically consistent reason that it is not a security but other L1s are. Its not even done and is having its consensus mechanism overhauled promising massive gains with triple halvening narratives. Most decisions being done today have been heavily shilled by vitalik the founder and the eth foundation. Saying it's any different than the others is just lying.
That being said I bet it still allows them to be traded just with rules that will not be enforced on BTC and other coins similar to BTC (BCH, LTC, XMR). I bet these new crypto securities are just not available for payment in the US or at BTC ATMs and won't be available at non authorized exchanges in the US that dont submit to heavy regulations. Probably bearish as fuck in short term but fine in the long term and the ultrasound money narrative dies and eth has to sell itself without trying to compare itself to bitcoin

Yes it's coming, but I think its good news:
1. I like Lummis and BTC maxi Republican Senators. They don't trust the Fed and are pro-privacy.
2. Lummis is working with Kristen Gillibrand, the New York Senator (basically Senator from Wall Street), so I'm assuming the regulatory clarity necessary for the space to grow will result. You know crypto is full of scams.
3. You should be listening to BTC maxis. If you get fucked by this regulation, its your own fucking fault.

Yeah this getting announced and the bill being revealed will probably be the next capitulation. It might be an alt focused capitulation though, just depends on what that shit actually says.

Also, for people that think a bill getting announced and brought forward for discussion means it's law you're wrong. This bill is gonna fail many times before it ever gets the chance to actually pass imo. Then later down the line some frankenstein version of the initial bill will actually get through once it's been filled with sufficient bullshit.
