I think it really depends on whether you have ADHD. I got diagnosed a couple years ago and have taken it daily, it has really helped my mental health, I exercise every day, stopped drinking, never miss work, wake up and go to bed at the same time every day, etc. My wife's boss, similar guy to me, a coder in his 30s, started taking it daily for fun, but doesn't have ADHD. In less than 6 months it ended up inducing psychosis and had to go to a psychiatric hospital to detox and his wife left him. Probably fine to take occasionally, but don't try to take it daily, only those of us with pre-ruined brains can handle it.

gonna have to hand it to proper meth being hands down the winner. i was unfortunately diagnosed with ADHD over 10 years ago, and prescribed adderall after battling a combo of depression and, well, ADHD for my teen years. While adderall did help, I noticed some pretty significant physical issues with my muscles tightening and my sleep was poor. Basically got to the point where I was poorly functioning.

I got off of it for about a year, got into exercising and eating really clean (always have had a pretty clean diet though desu) but could not shake the moodiness, relentless fatigue, and lack of concentration. At this point I had also moved, my old doc died, I didn't have insurance, and I couldn't get my new GP to prescribe. I found a friendly source to sell their scrip, kept my dosage significantly lower and marched on.

Eventually the same shit started happening and my source had a life change and couldn't supply after I basically got rehooked on the shit. So, I turned to the darknet markets. Sure as shit wasnt gonna pay $1 per mg, but the meth caught my eye. Cheap. I had done it from time to time and it wasn't anything like the media makes it out. No staying up for days, no crazy crime sprees, etc.

Well, here I am, four years in, haven't had a drop of adderall, only buy the Original...it is cheaper, more plentiful, and frankly, far more effective. Side effects are basically non-existent and I go to bed on a regular schedule every day (with the occasional exception where I might pull a 24-36 hour stint if I'm highly focused and motivated to get something done, but I have always been like that.)

My only concerns are the long term neurotoxicity and the physical dependence. If I run out for more than three days, it really sucks. I go back to my old sober self of extreme mood swings and chronic fatigue. I know a doctor isn't going to fix my problems, they never have. SSRIs make me cold and emotionless. Modafinil gives me dreadful anxiety.

Adderall causes nervous ticks, muscle tightening, and weirdly kills my ability to sleep well. It also causes those same dopamine chasing behaviors that make me want to do more and more.

for whatever reason, meth just works for me, and it works really well. i know some tweakers, as it's inevitable when you're dependent on the shit. But I don't run with them. I'm married to a woman that doesn't use, have a nice house, and a good job that I work remote. I stay active, grow my own vegetables, cook every meal, and stay out of shit. I don't watch TV, play vidya, or contribute to degenerate shit. I don't drink beyond the occasional social shots or a cocktail here and there. I don't smoke weed, or tobacco. I don't have degen sex with dope hoes. I just live the best life I can, and cope with the fact that I may be trading my cognitive abilities at old age for the ability to function while I'm still fairly young (late 30s) without a massive concentration handicap, bridge burning temper, and a chronic fatigue where i sleep my life away.

I think back to my youth and all the behavioural problems I had, and see myself in so many boys and young men (and more girls than you may think) that struggle with the same symptoms. It's definitely got something to do with Western culture's downfall. The reliance on mass production, consumerism, and brainfogging propaganda. Creativity, criticism, self-learning and cooperation are not fostered in bright young minds. Those with promise are cut down to the lowest common denominator's level, rather than responsibly taken aside and mentored. It's also likely due to the sheer quantity of chems we are exposed to now.

I hate being dependent on any drug, trust me, but I would be lying if I said methamphetamine didn't change my life for the better, considering the alternatives.
