But my CVNA puts I bought in 2021 paid off by like 350%, took profits on a small position. CVNA is a DEFINITE contender for fantastic short still, its headed for still getting -50% in market cap in coming months if this beta keeps up.

The Garcia family will have to keep issuing equity to facilitate their debt tranches and that will dilute shareholders down way more. Those shitcore D grade tranches need to be serviced by the Garcia shysters.

Friendly reminder that the accelerated increase of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and tranny grooming in the Western public education system is largely being funded by Mackenzie Scott (Bezo's ex), the Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation and the WEF. The children produced from this program will be full-tilt Khmer Rouge style Marxists who will will bring about a new dark age to purify the Earth of useless eaters.

If you don't make it in the next few years and execute on an escape plan (i.e.buying citizenship in a small country or territory that will serve as enclaves for the wealthy and powerful), it will definitely be over for you. The WEF has even put together a helpful guide for those worthy of making it. All you need is the capital. You want the countries that offer actual citizenship and not merely residency. Soon, the rest of the planet will be turned into one giant gulag of hellish proportions.

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2016/07/countries-selling-citizenship/

The beautiful thing is all of these companies could've diluted massively last year and secured their valuations. A 20% dilution before an 80% decline could fund a buyout of the whole company at today's prices. Instead they got cocky and hardly raised capital, if at all. Convertible bonds are another example of that type of arrogant thinking. Now they're all trapped.

Meanwhile SBC for tech is out of this world pretty much across the board, and its all getting re-indexed to new the lower prices. There's just no upside unless the fed capitulates and feeds some Weimar level inflationary spiral.

It's been a while since I talked about it but in drink tonight and my inhibitions are gone. I've been telling you niggers to buy AGCO for so long that it's physically painful to do so. They just blew out earnings last month, raised guidance for the current year, and are paying a special dividend this year(due to blow out earnings all last year) of over $5/share this year....
I deeply regret that I didn't urge you niggers to buy more when it dropped to $112 recently.... Agriculture bros (to include /leanhogs/ are going to continue to make it.

>The beautiful thing is all of these companies could've diluted massively last year and secured their valuations.
Lol they can't just dilute that quickly, their C-suite has fiduciary obligations to shareholders to make sure that they don't just sap out cash from shareholders and fuck them.

Or else passive indexing wouldn't be a thing and Blackrock, State Street, etc wouldn't be swallowing shares of every company in existence. You're describing a fiduciary violation.
Convert bonds are indeed pretty much the embodiment of greed/stupidy from shitcos. They could've raised capital via standard debt but they were too poorly rated in eyes of creditors to not have to collateralize shares. Lol.

Convert bonds = SUPER RED FLAG.

>Manwhile SBC for tech is out of this world pretty much across the board, and its all getting re-indexed to new the lower prices.

AMZN is having problem retaining talent due to its floundering stock price. Equity is a major tool for attracting and retaining employees.

In AMZN’s case, a 4-year vesting schedule generally follows 5-15-40-40, where
> 5% of awarded equity vests after year 1,
>15% of awarded equity vests after year 2,
> 40% of awarded equity vests after year 3 and 4, respectively.
This contrasts with other companies, whose equity packages vest equally, 25% each year after years 1-4.
As a result, employees stayed past 3 years to unlock equity in the backloaded vesting schedule. It’s a long time in tech, but the stock was mooning. You’d be leaving a lot on the table making an early exit. Recruiters are acutely aware of this and advertise it when selling their company.

My prediction is that we may see a larger dilutive effect in SBC from growth / recent IPOs as they take steps to recalibrate their equity packages in order to attract and to retain new and current employees, respectively.

Hard to complain about a company raising capital at all time highs, at the same time that private companies are all racing out the door to dump their shit via SPACs/IPOs as soon as possible. You're right though, holding cash doesn't really fit the American culture.

Now they're getting a bit of 10% yearly inflation, but it's transitory and the rate of inflation will be controlled by the fed and sent back down to 2% yearly inflation. That's what Powell means by inflation being transitory.

>”Basis trades are three-legged trades that span crucial financial markets: cash Treasury markets, Treasury futures markets, and repo markets. As we show, basis trades use long cash Treasury positions and short futures positions to construct a payoff that, absent financing risks and other frictions, would be a net position similar to a Treasury bill. (In futures markets, long positions are a bet prices will go up; short positions are a bet prices will go down.) One immediate difference between the return on a basis trade and the return on a bill is the possible variation margin on the futures position. (Futures traders make variation margin payments when the value of cash and collateral in their accounts falls below set margin levels.) More importantly, basis traders generally finance the long cash position in the repo market, which exposes the basis trade to rollover and liquidity risks. The return on basis trade is thus equivalent to a synthetic bill plus a risk premium. This risk premium is positive on average but can vary significantly and can turn negative during times of stress in funding markets.”

Maybe this is my misunderstanding of the mechanical functions of leverage, but I thought when a fund posts IM for a trade they actually need to give up custody of the assets to the BD. This seems to imply they do not, and that hedge funds basically roll repo loans to leverage up on selling the corresponding treasury futures. I’m assuming the opposite of that trade is rolling treasuries into cash to buy more on margin

Demand is falling through the roof. Oil prices going up again might send supplyshocks though still.

Why the fuck is deflation so bad for these guys? I don’t get it. I’m tired of my money losing value every year. I’m tired of watching everything become more expensive at a controlled rate, so that 2 liter soda you bought in the 90’s for a dollar is now 3 bucks at a convenience store and 2.50 at a grocery store. That’s a loss of value way worse than 2% in the things that matter. And it means you can’t save. You have to spend. Or hide the money in investments. Why the fuck is saving so hated by these guys?

I’m not asking for 10% years my deflation. But a man inflation/deflation rate as close to zero as possible would make things real interesting to me. >>49287092

You would suffer without Big Macs, but I’m the subhuman. Kek. Hold the fries, fatty.
