Actually something very weird is happening right now.

BCH is more profitable and has been for a while, but most miners are staying in BTC. Usually at least 15% of hashrate would be going to BCH with this kind of profitability differential.

It looks like miners are trying to save the BTC network. Unconfirmed transactions are so high that if the BTC chain lost a substantial amount of hash, it would be in deep shit.

Yep, I've been watching closely over the last few weeks and we only ever see those kinds of numbers when BTC is significantly more profitable, and even then
BCH usually hangs around 8%.
Additionally, that BCH price action while BTC corrected seemed really unnatural. Most people hold BCH as a hedge against BTC. Why would the satoshi value of BCH crash during a BTC dip? It crashed harder than any other alt.
