having emotional hissy fits won't bring you any closer to your first million

you need to cut out everything in your life that wastes time and distracts you, do not consider yourself to be truly alive until you have finally made it, that way you don't are about what happens to you when pursuing wealth and power

Let's see, at 22 I graduated without a job lined up. No job for a year (I was mostly determined to take a year off and play a video game). Started searching for jobs at ~23 much more aggressively, got a temp job (18/hr), collected unemployment for another half year from that temp job. Finally landed a pretty decent tech job at 25 (42k). Got promoted as high up as I could in that small company (72k) by 27. Landed an even better tech job about a half year ago at 27 and a half (115k).
So I may not be rich but I think this still follows a pattern of the American Dream. Just keep aggressively looking for better jobs. I used to sadfrog a lot at 24 before I landed that 42k job.
