well i'm just an ordinary IT person. nothing special
but two tips:

1. work for yourself as soon as possible (be a contractor or something)- then you get to pick and choose what work you do, and there are tax advantages (probably. i am in the UK, it may be different elsewhere)

2. get a job where you get to travel- then you live on expenses, your own outgoings are reduced- the company / customer pays for your food etc etc etc

but mainly unless you get a job in investment banking or whatever, the best way to get rich is just to spend a lot less than you earn, no matter how much that is

Live cheap, every purchase think "Is this an investment or an expense". If it is an expense and you don't need it don't buy it. If it is not assisting you in your work/appreciating in value do you really need it?
