Hey guys. For my bachelor thesis, I have to write about something involving behavioral finance. Can you recommend any good papers or books that I can use? Most of the stuff I find seems to be dubious in nature, not appearing in any scientific papers of interest. A friend recommended Thaler, but I don't know what parts of Thaler's extensive work I can use. I had an idea of seeing how to apply behavioral finance to mergers and acquisitions and a board's decision to buy.

Yeah, I think so. They call it behavioral finance in my university, but I guess it's the same thing. Basically anything where the main idea is "people aren't rational when making decisions"

Just read biz and write about the irrationality of the behaviour in the cryptomarkets

>> No.4113272

have to do the same in a month
think Taler is hyped at the moment and all students want to write about his nudge theory
but still your prof would like this idea
just specify in one scenario where nudges could be helpful like:
irrational behavior when it comes to saving for the future
irrational consumer behavior like "oh they say its reduced by 500 Dollar so it must be a good price"
consumers credits etc.
there are a lot of possible topics
just type behavioral finance in google scholar and read the first 10 headlines

wont do this for you

this idea has been around for a long time obviously, but showing that people are irrational statistically is much harder.
are you writing a thesis?
