Not true, that varies a lot. We do make a lot less than the average american because we live in socialist states with big tax rates to support public healthcare, higher education, etc.

A nice place in Western Europe will cost you €300k+. Living costs also vary a lot depending on where you live. My house is big and it's located in a private condominium in the outskirts of a small village, it cost €120k years ago and this is in Portugal where the living costs are very low. Something similar in Switzerland would be at least €500k+.

But I find that the kinds of people who do obtain their fuck you money rarely end up telling the world to fuck off and go live on the beach.
