Reminder that SIBOS (Oct. 16) is NOT a case of "buy the rumor, sell the news".
Simply because there is no rumor, only news.

Because you see, we know EXACTLY what will happen at SIBOS: a live demo of the 'proof of concept' Chainlink/Smartcontract developed with/for SWIFT.
https://www.sibos.com/conference/conference-programme/bridging-dlt-and-swift-messaging-smartcontractcom-innotribe-industry

This is not your old "BIG NEWS COMING" that turns out to be nothing at all, like you see so often in crypto. No no.

The ONLY thing that will change after SIBOS is a lot more people will suddenly become aware of Chainlink/Smartcontract and their relationship with SWIFT.

Selling at that point would be dumb.
Selling before Oct. 16 would be retarded.

>> No.3578448

Also, reminder that the SIBOS conference is literally organized by SWIFT.

So the news is coming straight from the horse's mouth (see official SIBOS link in OP).

Get in before this thing hits the mainstream on Oct. 16.

For those still not quite grasping this;

SWIFT is a company that allows financial institutions around the world to connect with one another.

Smartcontract/Chainlink is a company that allows conventional business/finance to connect with the blockchain.

These two companies are working together.

Let that sink in.

Some people never heard of SWIFT. I know of it because I frequently send money overseas to parents. That's how you come across SWIFT code and notice banks use it internationally. If you look up SWIFT and still don't understand the gravity of the situation you are just a low IQ chimp who will wander through life failing. You can buy or dump this token all you want, it won't matter. Whales got the bulk of the tokens and they not selling for a little 5-10x. All Sergey has to do is maintain SWIFT as a client and the rest is just gravy.

If you live in a country with fairly developed financial practices (all banking online, no cheques, fast wire transfers, paper money 99% gone) like Finland, you know SWIFT like your first cousin by now. Here virtually all monetary transactions are relayed through SWIFT and without it the whole economy would pretty much fail until the banks could scramble something to replace it.

However when I lived in the States, if I asked somebody what SWIFT is, they would have no idea. This is because big economies move slower towards new innovations, and while online banking and everyday wire transfers are old tech by many standards, we're talking about 40 out of 50 states where getting paid by cheque is still the preferred method.

Alls I'm saying is: SWIFT IS FUCKING HUGE and you _absolutely will_ find that out sooner than you think. Finland isn't even on the forefront compared to countries like Estonia, but already SWIFT to us is about as vital as asphalt roads.

Ok I think we've had enough of these threads already.
Just stop posting the same shit, there is no point in convincing anyone anymore because those who wanted to get in are already in.
Now it's up to the devs and the rest of the team to start going public but I don't think they'll want to do anything before SIBOS.

If SIBOS is a success then we can expect some major price movement, hopefully. Though we still don't know the extent of possible partnerships.

It's like you don't understand the first thing about simple economics.

Utilization is low -> LINK is cheap -> cheap LINK incentivizes utilization -> Utilization raises -> LINK becomes more expensive -> Equilibrium is found -> LINK stabilizes.

I swear you people talk of yourselves like your autistic but in all reality it seems like you have downs.

>> No.3579157

>>3579121
That's a question regarding the very basic functionality of tokens in general.
Basically it makes transactions easier. Like if you book a flight you pay in advance and show your ticket at the gate when you board.
Having to pay at the gate would make things slower and less secure for everyone involved.
Not exactly like this, but it gives an indication.

Look this up for yourself though, this is crypto 101.

>You think they're going to be doing the demo for the first time at SIBOS?
>Of course it'll be a success.
Of course the demo itself will be a success but the future of this token depends on companies adopting the tech so either some kind of announcements during or after the conference about implementation would go a long way.
If they only show the demo, it won't create much hype. People want real life implementation with real companies.

SWIFT is in the business of connecting financial institutions. They're also the ones organizing SIBOS. And they saw enough potential in the project to invest in it and feature it at their conference.

That's as strong a guarantee of future adoption as you'll get at this point.

This is very likely the most legit ICO since Ethereum itself.

OMG had about 1 billion in market cap recently, and all they ever did was show logos of companies and imply partnerships, without ANY confirmation from those companies. See pic.

In this case here, SWIFT itself confirms the relationship with Smartcontract/Chainlink. And it doesn't take much reading to understand the possible implications of this relationship.
Smartcontract/Chainlink may very well develop into THE connection between conventional business/finance and the blockchain.

This may completely change the way contracts and official records work. Perhaps even payments in general.
There is simply nothing more reliable than the blockchain; which is essentially a 99.9999999% reliable store of information incentivized by its financial value.

>> No.3579455

>>3579174
More to the point: SIBOS will bring a lot of exposure to Chainlink/Smartcontract, and at this stage that is a MASSIVE advantage in and of itself.
