3156909 No.3156909 [Reply] [Original]

The future of crypto will be decided in the next 30 hours.

BCC is currently a money faucet due to its steady price and low difficulty but it will go up by 350% in 30 hours

BTC is hemorrhaging hash power and its currently at 4 blocks per hour and the transactions backlog is getting swamped by the minute, but the price is holding steady at 4k

If there is any BTC price loss in the next 30 hours, BTC is kill, if it holds, BCC is kill

Agreed. If BCC overtakes BTC it will demolish all normie confidence in the market, because if the coin that is the basis of the entire crypto economy isn't safe, what is?

This is why the Facebook/Myspace argument isn't analogous to the BTC/BCH argument. It cost a normie nothing to switch from myspace to facebook. But a normie doesn't want to invest in something that could literally go to zero in a very short period of time because it was superseded.

Crypto's target is to be decentralized, store value, be secure and be safe. Compared to physical gold it has no price floor as it can't be used as industrial metal or as jewlery.

Current BTC is centralized, Segwit will make it less safe and currently it's slow af. Whole fucking banking system is using ancient SWIFT system and they wait to have it replaced.

I'm not married to either BTC or BCC, just speculating on possibilities. Bitmain's whole business is built around Bitcoin, it's a dangerous game to bet your whole fortune on taking over Bitcoin, hence why I'm wondering if Jihan sees a role for both in his business model.

It's not difficult.
An ICO takes value out of BTC/ETH/Whatever and uses it to fund some shitcoin.

BCC took value out of BTC and turned it into BCC.

The difference is, the other shitcoins let the market choose to do it.

Chinacoin wouldn't let the market choose.

WHAT A TWIST!

As Anons above mentioned any brand can be run to the ground if they don't adjust and people will vote with their money which cryptos will be used.
I used to be neutral about Segwit and BCH split but watching Jihan outplay Blockstream raises my concern whether Blockstream is able to navigate BTC. And we're currently in the second wave of crypto with projects getting more and more funding and people deploying bolder, less fragile and more flexible projects.
