This has been a huge issue in the traditional art market for some time now. A promising young painter will sell a painting for $2k, collectors swarm, gobble up the work, immediately start flipping it. Next thing you know, that same painting is going for $200k at auction, and the artist doesn’t see a dime of that. Even worse, since their work is now priced so high, it makes it even more difficult for them to sell their new work. Art speculators are sharks.

I built a 4x8 CNC from a kit sold by BuildYourCnc. It’s a fantastic way to start out as the initial cost is an order of magnitude less than an entry level professional build. I do finish them by hand. Sanding is a bitch but sharp bits and tight step over can do a lot of the work.
