30355661 No.30355661 [Reply] [Original]

Thinking about taking a $50k 7 year at 5.5% interest loan and putting it all in chainlink. I can easily pay the ~$700 payments via my job. What say you biz?

That's what I'm thinking. It's pretty much just leverage on my job. As long as I can stay employed, it can workout. I believe link can continue to markup this year, and the eventual staking (next year perhaps?).

I mean it's better than throwing 50k for a new car or some other BS like normies do.

If you're going to take a risk like that, might as well try to find a coin that's cheap and new enough to make it worth it.

I've been buying BAT mostly because it was still belowe $1 billion MC and it was also listed on Gemini.

You should find your own that you like though. I couldn't fathom missing out on cheap link then taking a loan out to chase it.

Definitely. $50k is fuck all as well. and the interest is low. I have $500k in LINK, but if I had the opportunity, I would take all kinds of loans as much as 15% interest per year and buy LINK and LinkPool. I'm 21 and have never waged though and since I'm not in USA, I can't even get a €500 high interest fast loan lol.

Based move OP, I’ve got good credit and am looking at doing the same shit with yield farming. I figure if I borrow 50 to 80k and put it into liquidity pools with at least 200 percent return I can make a tidy profit over the next couple years and easily cover my principal. I’ve been running the numbers and could easily come up with a 150k profit without risking any of my own capital. Shit seems too easy, I’m just waiting for the market to stabilize a bit.

Personal loans have high interest rates because there's no collateral. You can get an ELOC backed by your house (HELOC) or something else you own (cars aren't good for this, but non-depreciating assets are like if you own gold/silver).

Yeah, I’m still finishing my research, but limiting my choices to pools that have been audited, have limited impermanent loss, and pay out in tokens that have real market demand. I just don’t want to gamble with the little that I have, I’ve only managed to accumulate 3k link and 17 eth besides a few shitcoins. I think I can subsidize my play by staking the eth and link for rewards elsewhere. I’ve got to start making more aggressive plays if I’m gonna make it.
