Its actually very interesting concept anons. The average Hindu household considers gold and silver religious and buys it on every occasion. The indian government may have less of gold reserves but most of the gold is with the people. The amount of gold with people in India exceeds the combined amount of gold reserves of USA, Germany,france,italy and china together.
