30327993 No.30327993 [Reply] [Original]

Wanted to make a thread talking about some dinosaur coins that existed back in like, '14 and '15 only to have perished since then. This is Zetacoin, it had a history beginning in September 2013 but is now completely dead and only has a couple thousand dollars in trade volume, which I suspect is wash trading because anything resembling a community is nonexistent. Note the multiple pump and dumps.

This is why while altcoins as a whole will always be around, none of them have long-term staying power. Bitcoin rules the market, and there's nothing that will cause that to change. Bitcoin has all the money, and all the power. People pushing altcoins by definition have no power.

Treat altcoins as they are, temporary toys or experiments to make more Bitcoin. Trading against dollars gives you a false sense of security, when alts trend down against Bitcoin long term. Ethereum is the only altcoin thats managed to get a grasp on anything, and that's the first in well over a decade. In a hundred years we might have <10 long term altcoins, but even that is optimistic.

I hope rubic doesn't go belly up. It seems to be a legitimate organized dev team attempting to work towards a realistic target goal.

It seems that these early shitcoins were too preoccupied with the (far far) future potential of crypto and set that as their main objective only to fall on their face.

It feels as if the Rubic shilling originally started as a PnD group trying to eventually dump on an actual product. Someone dumped out early and messed up the plan. Then it turns out that Rubic just MIGHT actually be a real project that wont rug. Then it seems like the scammers just turned their attention to actually shilling this project. Dude, since 2013 the whole point behind these coins is for dev to make more bitcoins since they feel they didnt get enough as earlier bitcoiners.

Very simply any of these coins wasnt meant to survive longer than a few months

FeatherCoin PeerCoin, NXT.
Dev simply copy pastes bitcoin source code, plays around a bit, put a webasite on, start mining. Now people like you donate their bitcoin to devs.

All coins, algo ada included are in this category. Just ppl who missed to buy enough bitcoins and now sell youa shitcoin so they can have more bitcoin than you.

The fact of the matter is that it has been proven that the Rubichad telegram group at some point in time had scammers involved and specifically targeted /biz/ for their pnd. Some fag named Comma or whatever pulled the rug on them some time early last month. This guy was involved with the MCDC comedy hour that happened when they started their own coin and half of the devs rugged on their own pnd group shills.

Best case scenario the scammers made off with their money, but the project is still surprisingly alive, for now. Worst case the scammers dump, and then devs pull the rug. On the bight side we'd never have to see another Rubic thread again.

They will all die. All crypto is going to zero. It’s being steadily outlawed regulated and taxed out of existence. It’s so inefficient to use on top of that all. I can send money to anyone in the world instantly with PayPal and numerous apps. Credit cards work Practically instantly on the users end and there is recourse if you get scammed or it’s stolen. If I send 1BTC to someone for a thing and that thing never shows up or is defective what can I do, take them to court? What if they are in another state or country? Cryptos only purpose was money laundering, tax avoidance, and buying illegal things on the internet anonymously. They’ve been requiring you to prove your identity at exchanges for years now. Yes. The only reason it goes up is due tether. They have created a super bubble by breaking key resistances artificially. Once ATH is broken, people become believers again. ATH after ATH a bigger bubble is created, the end result is the same.
