Damn you are trading god. Riding the ADA wave exactly to the top then switching for the real deal. I did the second best thing: Bought IOTA for 3 years now, average 35c (so Im not complaining, already fucking huge, green bags). But technically it was better to first ride ADA then switch back to IOTA

Also I agree, good move. ADA is mostly done, IOTA just gets started

The ultimate shitpost is creating a mineable token on top of iota that requires iota on your address which is send to a burner address to perform the airdrop to your address of choice as a mining reward :^)

In what world this is bullish? Half of the team filled by some paper pushing middle mangers ffs

>> No.30290301

>>30290060
Well, iota is all about free tx which is environmental friendly since there are no miners.
Creating a smart contract that deploys its supply based on cpu and gpu mining towards the smart contract to receive a reward while at the same time burning the supply of iota to nothingness pretty much goes against that concept.

It's basically 0xBitcoin, a pajeet shitcoin that made the rounds here in biz a couple years back.

Ah now I get it. Your switched strategy to outright lying. I saw your lies about IOTA tech in other channels too. Luckily I inform myself independently. No IOTAs get burned in smart contracts, also they work via stacking, not mining.

Weak FUD, try next thread

The fuck are you on about retard?
lmao, I'm not fudding, I'm just throwing an idea for a smart contract someone could make that could have value if enough people actually bother using it.

How retarded do you have to be to actually think I'm fudding?
Jesus christ this was cringe, I'm legitimately talking to someone with room temperature IQ right now, holy shit.

Why would anybody set up a smart contract to burn their own tokens? Thats even dumber than buying the tokens directly and sending them to an unused address, also effectively "burning" them.
>yfw

>> No.30291405

>>30291288
For trustless distribution of tokens, also "just buying them" is not really an argument, if mining something is profitable then people will mine it.

>> No.30291538

>>30291405
Dude there are serious flaws in your thinking. A smart contract can only manage token that the consortium previously bought. So they can only burn token they bought themselves. To whom or what is this a threat?

I admit I have literally no idea what you are talking about. Somebody could set up a smart contract which distributes some bullshit token towards miners? Do I get this one right?

Im sure you could build that, but why would anybody do this or participate in this? Dont see any winners (not even Ponzie scheme)

>> No.30292296

>>30291948
Exactly, now you get it, that's essentially that's what that erc20 token is doing on eth RIGHT NOW, has been for a couple years and the funny thing is that it has an active community building applications and other shit on top of it.
Not shilling it, honestly I don't see it going anywhere, putting money on it is throwing money away since they kind of lost their way.

As in why would anyone participate in it, quite simple, if miners deem it profitable they will mine it, they don't care about fundamentals or project direction.
For example, that erc20 token requires you to add your address and private key in a configuration file in order to perform the transaction of providing gas and getting those tokens airdropped from a trustless address that contains all pre-minted tokens, in this case value is gained based on mining difficulty which increases over time as more are airdropped, the gas costs and infrastructural costs (services and hardware).

If somebody wanted to do this shitpost on IOTA the same principle would apply, except for the gas fee part, to simulate that you would have to implement the burner part where to receive the airdrop a set amount is send to a burner address, the proposition of gaining value would then be the same as with the erc20 token.

Does it have utility? lmao fuck no, except for the trustless distribution of it, total waste of resources.

Ok now I get, yes absolutely possible to program and I´m also sure some people would join in, mine, pump and dump, before everything crumbles. Not a big problem for IOTAs eco-advantages though, because I think these "projects" would never gain widespread adoption (I mean, they have literally no use except a zero-sum game)

reminder that IOTA is fundamentally broken.
These Reddit Soibois are at it again.
They will create a new generation of bagholders.
You can tell that all of this "smart contracts" thing is a smokescreen and a desperate attempt to not fall into obscurity.
I watched that little faggot talk about smart contracts that you wouldn't get because "too technical" for a 10 minutes straight.
Well guess what you little shit. We are oldfags. We are not buying your shitty bags.
Smart contracts are all about security. Tangle will never amount to anything. Vid related: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6C5DJGg4Lg
It's plainly obvious they are ripping the successful projects. The little faggot in the OP talks about smart contracts, governace, tokenization and more ripped off ideas.
To the few newfags that made the mistake buying this and wanting to break even: You've been scammed by reddit transexuals. As soon as these trannies mention tangle NFTs, sell everything and never look back.

tl;dr whoever is buying into this deserves to lose ALL of his money.

IOTA is literally censored on r/cryptocurrency since 2018. LINK and Cardano are unironically reddit coins now.
