What is FIRE?
FIRE protocol is a one-stop DeFI hub for all things DeFi and the (+500TPs) chain HECO. It thrives off of it's unique position in the ecosystem by providing a bridge from and to heco.
Fire protocol will launch a DEX, cross chain lending and borrowing platform, a derivatives trading platform and an orderbook for the DEX.
They have partnered with orion protocol to ensure minimum slippage and no liquidity holes.

What is HECO (or Huobi)
Huobi is currently rank 2 of CEXs volumewise and top 5 in any metric of a CEX so basically a toptier CEX along the lines of Binance, Bitfinex etc.
They cater mainly to an asian crowd and are based in HK, they have launched an EVM compatible blockchain named HECO (Huobi eco) which is based on the consesus algorithm HPOS( hybrid proof of stake, so stake and work)

So far only one big name has joined HECO chain (INJ) but it just launched and many more are to come.
Mdex is rank 1 DEX volumewise.
HECO is faster than BSC, more decentralized by design (no PoA) and is cheaper to use, the transfers are very very cheap.

How is it a pajeet rugpull with a white team, solid fundies and whitepaper, supported by Huobi? Yes my shilling has been aggressive with these threads but atleast I don't spam coompics or "thE nExT 10x"
I just want to bring some awareness to this, I genuinely think it's a safe bet.

>> No.30279324

>>30279126
Oh and the many legit partnerships, Orion is a potential 1bn project if not more, pooling the liquidity of all avenues together into one decentralized terminal, Matic being the winner of L2 solutions, Elrond being the most promising blockchain for DeFi applications in the future (I hope not though, prefer EVM stuff)
And then many low-mid cap DeFi protocols that are also promising and well connected.

You don't know what a jeet rugpull looks like if you think this is one.

I have a q you might know the answer to. If you go to the fire website, they have the option for staking. I know it's not the native staking, but it still exists. Anyway, it will not allow me to stake any FIRE, even though I have more than the 1k threshold. Was it just a limited access thing?

This was a either time or volume limited staking event with Ferrum network (not available anymore) . Native staking will launch with the platform and liquidity staking on uni will launch this month. I expect 140+ APY as a Uniswap incentive.

Thanks for the info. I was looking into adding to the LP on uniswap, but now I'm waiting to see what sort of promos there are at/after launch

Both actually. I expect a major march pump into steady gains up untip start of q3, and then depending on adoption and further developement I will re-evaluate my holdings.
But really both a short and a long term. At 1usd it's a steal.

I wouldn't do that, FIRE is likely to outperform ETH throughout March and April, you will get destroyed by IL

May is the big release month for FIRE. September another big month with derivatives going live.

I'm very excited to see how realistic their roadmap dates are. Two big events this month, I hope they both make it and not just under the wire at EOM. Then again, it will allow me to fill my bags a little more if they are a little slow.

I don't know if there's a catch with FIRE itself, however the gamble here is on whether HECO adoption actually happens. that will make or break FIRE's success as a project. their roadmap seems fine, the DEX is already there though there aren't any tokens to swap because HECO isn't quite there yet. loans are there though dashboards are due later in the year. but the base functionality is already in place, they are just iteratively adding on to it over the year.
>>30286805
fully diluted yes, sure. current mcap is less than 5m. pic related is from their litepaper

What do you think of the team behind FIRE? Curious on your opinion.

I think the team is everything. Promises are meaningless without an Elon Musk-style drive behind it.

>> No.30287459

>>30287015
I once mentioned in a much older thread that HECO plans to be an L2 for Ethereum on top of being it's own chain they want to help Ethereum scale by bridging or offloading some traffic onto it.

I could totally see this work and be adopted and the fact that a project like INJ which I see as S-tier coin has migrated to heco makes me bullish af on heco.
But you're right in the end a lot depends on HECO, but I think it will pan out, just maybe not for memetokens but for HQ projects that need a strong EVM-based chain that is not owned by CZ.
Also there's no Polka eth bridge yet for example, but with fire and heco there could be one via heco. (DOT is listed in their litepaper as a crosschain goal)

>> No.30288038

>>30287378
it's hard to judge the team since as with most crypto projects, with the exception of a few big name like Andre, most people aren't really known. that said their main advisor has experience of blockchain project, and the fact they have such a long list of partners already indicates at least somebody in the team is able to go out there and negotiate, which is a good sign. they were also able to sniff out the opportunity by being first mover on HECO which indicates a certain level of market sense.
