Anyone going in? Or waiting (praying) for link vault to be converted to this strategy for auto compounding in link?

>> No.30175456

Yea I'm going to ape in. I've never used Curve before. I'm assuming there is almost no IL since its a LINK and LINK derivative pool? I keep meaning to do Bancor but luckily I didn't yet because then I'd be stuck in it not able to withdraw without getting burnt from the 100 day IL protection threshold. To be fair I might just do both to split my risk. There is too much money to be made letting my stack sit and do nothing. I think I'll probably do 1/3 CURVE, 1/3 Bancor, and the remaining 1/3 stays in cold storage. It seems like between the two I'll be making nearly 35-45% APR. That's insane. I need to a little more research on Curve before I deposit but it seems legit.

>>30175456
Yeah it's pegged to slink which is just synthetic link so zero il. Bear in mind you'll probably lose 1% of your link that you put in since the pool is so heavily weighted to slink right now, assuming you only put in link and no slink. I'm considering apeing in, but I'm holding hope the link vault on yearn will reopen and use this vault as a strategy which will auto buy more link with the crib subsidy and restake it for even more gains.

>>30175653
What's the average APR on the vault? Yea I saw there was a modifier if you put in sLINK. I've never used Synthetix platform either can I get additional APR by depositing with them first? As long as everything is decentralized I'm more or less comfortable. All these CEXes are offering trash yields on top of "not your keys, not your crypto". 1% loss is acceptable, It would be made back in no time anyway.

Explain how this works to a brainlet so I can ape in with 10k link plz

Also one other question if you are familiar with CURVE. When I want to claim my CRV tokens lets say after a month or something I just need to pay the gas fee to get them I won't have to remove my liquidity or anything from the pool right?

>> No.30176053

78% surely there are risks

>> No.30176663

>>30175943
It's new and variable. But you get paid in link, slink, and crv subsidy (which is the 78% figure). If you get slink first you will lose less when you out in, but it's not a requirement - you can provide j ust lol,k but you'll take a one time hit going in depending on the pool weighting.
>>30176001
Provide link liquidity to a no il pool, get apr.
>>30176053
It's actually fairly low risk. Crv has proven to be strong so far. Risks are crv contracts, and snx contracts only. So much less risk than some other pools and platforms.

This I'm not sure on. But I imagine you have it right.

Thanks I'm going to get set up for the 11th. Have you connected and used a ledger with their protocol without issues?

can i enter by buying some sLINK on the curve pool and then just posting both in equal proportions? does the pool have to be 50/50? is the pool open for business? is yield denominated in CRV? is single token liquidity available? i know balancer has 80/20 or 90/10 pools and so on, what about LINK/sLINK? sorry for the barrage of questions but your post interests me deeply

>> No.30177637

>>30177316
I have not used it. But I imagine using metamask w/ your ledger would work fine.
>>30177521
You don't need any slink if you don't want it. But you will lose some link as a one time fee depending on how weighted the pool is. Pool is open for business. Yield is about 1.45% in link/slink, and 78%~ in crv.

are their eth fees to get in and out of this is it worth it with only 100 link?

>> No.30177691

>>30177650
Yea, everything will require gas fees. I'd probably go in with 1000 link min. Sorry buddy, you are stuck waiting for l2.

>depending on how weighted the pool is
do you mean that the protocol will sell some of my LINK for sLINK elsewhere to make the pool 50/50?

Based South African of fuck your mother. Now that I think of it there are a lot of south africans in tech, makes you wonder why they let the niggers take over when so many boers are geniuses.

I think it's more like a disincentive/incentive to put into the less weighted part of the pool.

i think i've got it: you can put in whatever you want as an LP and it will be arb'd to equilibrium, but since there is no IL that arbitrage doesn't matter, you still get to withdraw the amount that you put in, dear god i never realized how genius Curve was until right now
