I think there's some validity to the idea that some of XRP's friction comes from people that want the US to remain the world reserve currency. So if you suffer 30k capital losses, you can deduct that 3k for 10 years but that won't offset your capital gains. Also, I've never heard of loan payments being deductible as capital losses. Interest on certain types of loans can be deducted, but they aren't capital losses and it's the interest on the loans only and not the payments in total.

You're gonna wanna talk to a tax professional, anon. Nothing that you're describing makes sense to me given my experience with the US tax code.
