The short sellers trying to make this happen are running on credit, they had a limited amount to use to make a false sell signal and have often bought back. Now they spam the board and everywhere else trying to cause a panic cause it is all they can do for free.
My guess is they are close to out of money and are barely making it stay in 43k. At 44k they have to buy back to cover short losses and credit borrowed or are going to get destroyed financially.
