Speaking as a scientist, for example, you need to learn a lot of stuff and cant start with just making your own lab and doing any serious shit without degree

Im not driven by any other normie jobs, and even if im financially secure, i couldnt live just traveling, doing hobbies, and fucking around doing nothing.

Literally happiest moments in my life were in uni lab, and institute now, when your hard work in experiments pays off and things click in your head then you present it on some conference on other continent or whatever

Just my opinion and rarely i see thoughts like mine on this board.
