Even if it starts squeezing 3/19 that doesn't mean it's absolutely HAPPENING that day, the start might only be a few tens of percent.

GME earnings call is 4 days after 3/19, it's possible that the rationale to mitigate their losses is to let it squeeze a bit before earnings and then let earnings news temper people's expectations that GME might make it long term causing a (they hope) sell off.

Whatever happens, I need to scrounge up ~6k to buy some call options for April/July to sell hopefully in late March/early April.

Reminder: Only faggots would not be in GME right now. What, you don't have the disposable income to buy 1-5 shares, even when the price is at $300?
