29753908 No.29753908 [Reply] [Original]

DAFI team is fighting HYPERINFLATION by building a networks with Synthetic tokens(dTokens (or DFY).

These tokens are network-pegged flavours of existing tokens.

Flavours of these synthetic assets use price &
volume oracles to algorithmically change in quantity relative to demand.

>Rewards a network, without unsustainable token quantities.

>Incentivizes during low demand (eg. less adoption, bearish markets) while promoting token scarcity.

>Creates stable chains and stable finance.

Imagine not being fucking bullish on DAFI after knowing all the above!

>synthetic assets
While the primary use-case for cryptoassets continues to be speculation, I don’t believe this is a bad thing. Speculation was a key driver in the development of traditional financial markets and continues to play an important role in the industry today

But cryptoasset market today remains immature and suffers from a lack of liquidity; unlike assets within the traditional financial system, which have built a baseline of liquidity over multiple decades, most cryptoassets are less than a few years old.

Synthetics can be used to inject liquidity into the market, which reduces costs for investors.
One example is a credit default swap

>Bitcoin is a synthetic asset
Maker’s Dai stablecoin is likely the most widely known and used synthetic in DeFi. By locking Ethereum as collateral, users are able to mint a synthetic asset, Dai, which maintains a soft peg to USD.
