SOXL only has monthlies. What you're saying is true though. For any stock with weekly calls, if you add up the ATM premium four weeks in a row vs. the ATM premium for a monthly it comes out to about twice as much. I don't really hedge my SOXL since I have a lot of money in bitcoins, a couple of other stock accounts with different stuff, and a futures account all of which adds up to more than my SOXL and is uncorrelated. That said, when SOXX dips under the 200 day moving average I plan to sell my SOXL and start selling puts then when SOXX goes back above I'll buy my SOXL back and start selling calls again.

What I do actually is sell options on SOXL, take the premium and buy leaps call options on TQQQ, sell diagonal calls on the TQQQ and take that premium and buy FNGU then square everything up at the end of the month then start over. A diagonal is when you open a spread where the legs have different strike prices and different expiration dates. If you buy a call that expires in 2023, you can immediately sell a call using your long 2023 call as the collateral. Normally you need 100 shares to sell a covered call but with a diagonal, the call you bought serves the place of the 100 shares. So I buy the TQQQ 2023 calls and sell a monthly TQQQ call against that.
