Every transaction ever has been recorded in the ledger that every single miner gets. If any transaction happens, that ledger needs to be checked and verified across 51% of all other ledgers to make sure its a legitimate transaction.
Right now, there are not many transactions going on, compaired to fiat. The second that bitcoin goes into circulation the way our current money system works, i would give it a week before the ledger grew to undogly sizes and it takes a fucking hour to process buying a cup of coffee.
Bit coin currently has a C, but its raing would drop to a fucking F, and the same is true for its untracability, its 100% traceable, and all transactions are public record. It gets an F in that category as well.
