Wanna hear a funny story? I set a stop loss for BNB over the weekend and chose a little below $250 as trigger. Went to bed, got up again yesterday to find a bunch of Tether in my account and no BNB, because it dipped down below JUUUST that much during the night. In the meantime of course it was already back to around $290. Spent the whole day yesterday rearranging my portfolio to mitigate the losses, reinvesting and even buying some BNB when it dropped down to $285 temporarily.
Turns out, I should've just let my damn hands off that, it was a Godsend. Had I just leave my funds in Tether, I could've bought the shit out of this dip, but now I'm instead still up in the red.

Stop losses are NOT visible in the order book unless they are limit orders (which they are not because you can not put a sell limit order below current price because it automatically becomes a market order when you do so)

whales do not *see* your orders.
they just know they are there because statistically there is a good fucking chance that there are there.

same goes for over-leveraged gamblers, whales do not need to see them to know that they are there. lol

everybody got it now?

its like a fishing vessel that throws out a huge net. they dont give a fuck about the individual little fishes.
they just know that they will fill up that net as long as enough fish are swimming there.

the retail trader has the "fisherman with one rod" mentality
whales have the "trawer mentality"

On Binance? Just checked the 4h candles, and now it shows up as going as far down as $224 on the night of 02/20 to 21. Was convinced when I checked the next day it showed only down to $240 or so. Oh well, lesson learned. Maybe.

Chinks did it. F2Pool set shorts and then dumped their BTC on the market.

>> No.29393029

I'll never understand people who use stop-losses if they aren't actively trading, or if they place it beneath a massive monthly support level.

Crypto is volatile as shit, and more often than not you're going to get stopped out at a loss. And while you sold low, smart people placed their buy orders right next to your stop-loss.
