The main problem with Tether (in theory) is that they have been pumping up the price of btc with "fake" dollars (yeah I know all fiat is fake). If that pressure is suddenly released, it will lead to a downward correction, perhaps a very large one. More than likely, the lawsuit isn't going to play out for many months.
