Aside from rugs pulls, why would teams choose to be anonymous?
Do big name developers ever create side projects then reveal their association after the product is proven?

So when Broden asks them politely to shut down. They can politely say no. Unlike me, who will kowtow. Also taxes i imagine. Good for them.

None whatsoever. 95% of anonymous teams rug, it's just a flimsy excuse that retards in telegram groups fall for. If they don't rug themselves it's always a "rogue dev" that did it

Because if you have a decentralized network transactions are irreversible. Hoskinson is receiving death threats from people who got scammed by ADA giveaway links. Also if your coin gets too big and actually manages to take on the banking industry you can imagine the United States government would not be a pleasant thing to deal with.

I don’t think I’d ever put my name on a crypto project.

Good point that anon team is immune to political and legislative influences.

Teams that legitimately fear government action against them are wise to remain anonymous. Things like Tornado Cash, which allow ethereum tokens to transacted privately, are bound to bring legal action if the devs ever connect their names to their work.

That said, it's also a safe haven for rugpulls.

So as not to get abducted in the dead of night and held in Gitmo for the rest of their lives.

Good points about decentralization and political protection considering they're the core of crypto spirit.
>Hoskinson is receiving death threats from people
True. Death threats become more believable too when it comes to tinkering with peoples' money.

not a mega successful one without SIGNIFICANT effort. any kind of public company is already out obviously but being the head of an eight figure private business, your name is on the door somewhere

people like zucc, bgates etc. have 24/7 protection on all of their family members. criminals are an occupational hazard of being rich, and anonymity is not security. anonymous teams for pajeet rugpulls; nothing else
