bitcoin has been doing so well. we realized years ago that bitcoin and link have an inverse correlation, the more chainlink developed the stronger this correlation got. when bitcoin was doing really well, chainlink didn't do too well, when link does very well bitcoin doesn't do very much. for link to mega pump we need bitcoin to chill for many weeks.

this happens with lots stuff that isn't bitcoin. ethereum does this, too. a lot of other big alt coins in this market also do this. probably because in general people like to ride bitcoin up, go into alts a bit when bitcoin chills out, then they cash out back into bitcoin as a lot of people stack bitcoin over time.

if (when?) link makes even a small recovery in its price against bitcoin its price can go pretty insane. for example it corrected against bitcoin not a lot since its late december/early january lows... and it basically 3x'ed. imagine if bitcoin chills out for a bit and link catches up more, the price of chainlink could be pretty insane. with a ~$50,000 bitcoin things like link are crazy undervalued even right now.

Honestly? Because it's more legitimate than most others. Sure, It's not going to moon like BNB because BNB is basicaly a direct improvement and therefore replacement on/of ETH and the market is realizing it. Kind of like CAKE starting to replace UNI. LINK is fundamentally an excellent idea. It's a slow burn, but it has the potential to have current ETH market cap, meaning there's still a lot of room in holding LINK. It was best to get in while it was under $1.00
