I inherited about 6k from my grandpa, 10years ago when I was very young and didn't know about inflation. I put about half in in Chainlink in summer 2019 and the rest in ETH and Chainlink in early 2020.

I inherited a good house through shenanigans and that enabled me to do an apprenticeship in the highest paid trade so would still consider myself self made, working 70 hour weeks for half the minimum wage. Will soon have money to start investing in stuff and then my wealth is going to really take off, although I'm used to living in poverty my whole life and already have everything I want. Basically I work just for enjoyment and money means nothing to me anymore, is that making it?

>> No.29163183

What counts as inheritance/help? My parents saved 10€ a month for me and when I turned 18 I got it on my bank. I then bought antshares with it and sold my neo at 50€. Does that count? I mean I had twice that money on my bank from working shitty jobs. It was a nice bonus for sure but how shit are your parents if you cant even put 10€ a month for your kid.

i worked corporate for 7 years after undergrad. saved up some money. early 2017 put a lot into btc. rode it all the way up, and all the way down. didn't play alts. lost a lot trading during the following bear years.
then this year happened. i was ready for it. had the funding, knew the people, knew the space.
i'm close to my goal, but i cleared 1mm the other day for the first time, which was pretty dope.
i quit my job to do something i like about 6 months ago (lower pay, which is fine).

Are you fucking kidding me?

I started in 2017 and put about $20k (all my savings and extra cash) in total into the market over the course of 2 years. Thought I was getting in too late at the time. Now my portfolio is approaching $600k.

And I made fucktons of mistakes along the way. For example I fell for the ZCL/BTCP scam and lost $5k

And the entire fucking crypto market is STILL peanuts compared to real markets out there. Even gold, a small global market, is like $12 trillion. It is still early, this might possibly be the only example in history where the average joe can frontrun the elites, and if you're not positioned now you will have no one but yourself to blame.

I've been long BTC and ETH, flipping between them and reloading my longs every so often. Sometimes I hold both with a ratio that reflects my expectations.
I went long on DOT, XMR and XTZ for very short time periods. All three are shaky, but XTZ and XMR trade weird and are somewhat predictable. I don't trade XTZ any more due to liquidity and funding issues.

Margin fees / interest are brutal once you reach $1m. You can easily pay $1k per day on a position. I have a preference for BTC just because margin fees /interest are so much better.

I'm looking to move off of kraken, I need a bigboy exchange with a proper margin pool. I can't borrow more than 600k usd + 600k eur. Technically I could borrow tethers too, but kraken never has any in the pool.

You should consider doing house servicing work not for the money but for the experience of meeting new people every hour, being invited into their homes having discussions about life (usually half the time I'd spend "working" would be playing therapist for my customers)

and the freedom of being outside and with your wealth you can quit without really worrying too much about the repercussions, that in itself is something most jobs don't offer, even if I make it I plan on opening my own business simply for the fact that I enjoy meeting new people.

You can read that's established I'm not an idiot it doesn't take much to figure out what I had said in the past thread and attempt to shame me into being "evil"

I think that is a very harsh word only implied to those who commit the act of taking away someones right to live to be free.

I have never done such an act, and again I'm gonna turn this back on you, what in your mind makes you think someone is EVIL for talking to others on the internet about rising up from nothing?

The white nerdy guy in the picture I used, is a running joke here on the chans of leftist types nothing to do with crypto white nerds, your assumption on "facts" that you perceive is something I have never personally experienced before I would suggest you take a hard look at the words you wrote and decide how that would sound being turned onto you.

Unfortunately the daytime crowd around here seems to be of the mindset of being trashy towards others is somehow a benevolent feature, I do find it interesting that you would call people "evil" who have lost a parent that is such a hard thing to wrap my mind around and reasonably so it's not the thinking of a mentally healthy person, seek some help seriously.

Sorry I sometimes try to understand the logic of illogical people and I should know better, my story is not a normal one, fairly long you can see it in the thread before, rather not retype it all out lol

But like I said motivation is never a bad thing but mostly enjoy having genuine discussions unlike some people in here are attempting to derail, which is fine it's 4chan I expect that.

I tend to lurk the boards and see a lot of lonely people out there looking to have a discussion and I've been able to steer my threads into mostly philosophical in nature, can rich people have those conversations?

Absolutely but I do find those who haven't endured a struggle to be a tad dull, and yes I'll be shit on for that, I haven't always been poor and yes I had a father I lost a father as all of us do, and the implication of being evil for losing a parent is flawed logic as that means we are all evil or on our way to becoming evil because nobody escapes death period it's the one thing most rich people fear because they can't control that with money, although death shouldn't be feared at all it should be embraced moved past and then you can really enjoy life at a different mindset making your fortune feel that much greater.

>> No.29169912

>>29169655
I'm sorry I can't entertain your logic it's clearly flawed as I said before if someone is evil for losing a parent that means every single human being in existence short of those who died young are evil or on their way to evil, that statement alone that you made shows you harbor major resentment for people and you use religion as a shawl to deflect any feedback, your actually the person I tend to want to talk to because your very flawed thinking has probably lead you to sweepingly call others evil and make broad generalizations you need to stop that immediately for your own sake.

Yeah I think we know what original sin is, anyone here who was raised christian is quite familiar of those doctrines, I do not agree, I think all humans are naturally good people and only a very rare few tend to fall into what you perceive as "evil"

I believe and I don't mean this as insulting but religion hasn't done you much good, you simply stick to what you believe or have been taught and do not waver, life in itself is always wiggling there is no straight lines.

>>29170938
As for Christianity I don't really follow that myself anymore I was named after a locally famous pastor from south Africa so I'm quite familiar with the doctrines, the only thing I really took from them is the golden rule that is something to use as a moral baseline in dealing with others.

I don't think your a bad person but I do think calling others evil is a good way to get the worst to rise out of someone, there is nothing worse than evil and it's a verbal slap in the face to anyone, I've been called a lot of things in my life but that was a first.

All humans are evil to varying degrees. As Jesus said, 'Only a person with no sin be the first to cast the stone [in stoning a person for a crime]' yet none came forward. We rationalize our evil as retaliation against the evil world around. Realizing every human is immature and ignorant will make it easier to forgive the world around you. Descending into reactive antagonism creates more antagonism by both parties - of which is punished in the afterlife and in the world. Forgiveness is the first step to there being a heaven on earth and glory in the afterlife.

Fundamentally I agree with you and I won't sit here and say I haven't been bitter about my circumstances as they have been exceptionally rough but if you see through my discussions I try not to blame others for my faults, I made an edgy title to lure people in yes but never was mean to anyone including some rich folk who came in, I also speak to many well to do anons about relationships and try to help them by giving them advice on how not to fear so much and to take risks that seem scary but in reality are very safe and will help grow you as a human being, I don't do this for money or some glory simply because my health is failing and it's my way of giving back to the world, I enjoy getting people's attention then when they come over they realize I'm actually trying to engage in a civil discussion about life in general, I've have times of feast and famine in my life, times where "god" has helped me and times where I perceived he "smited" me in ways.

Been bitter towards friends who didn't help when I needed but learned to forgive and put myself in their shoes and patched up friendships from my past.

I think all humans are CAPABLE of evil but are not naturally evil, if you look are Americans as a whole we are generally a pretty peaceful culture, I live in the ghetto and am surrounded by crime and have been attacked before shot at etc but those incidents were few and far between in my 10 years here.

How long does this bullrun really have left? I'm unironically a fresh out of high school zoomer with nothing to even invest and been unemployed for almost a year because I graduated right after fucking corona started and I couldn't get a fucking job anywhere. I'm just starting my first job next month but the fucking anxiety of this being my only chance is killing me with how much I've already missed out. I can't afford to just YOLO the only 2k I have saved in some shitcoin hoping for a 20x and I can't make any money off the bigger ones. My brain tells me to put 1k on some lowcap coin with possible potential and wage while I save everything I can for the next run (I'm very good at living frugally). But my fear keeps telling me to go all in on whatever shitcoin might pull a 50x because it keeps telling me this is the only chance I'll ever get at a leg up. I'm not in a hurry to make it yet and know I definitely won't this run. So since the earlier thread was awesome, now I'll expand a little bit how I almost made it one time (with some help), and how I'm reasonably close to making it now on my own, maybe it helps other anons

So first time I almost made it (but not 100% on my own) was in 2017 when I discovered crypto. Started by investing 50-100$ now and then, and after a while I borrowed $2k from my mom to invest more into crypto cuz it was going up and I felt that "something" big might happen. Long story short, cuz I was a total newb I sold most of my alcoins too early, and I made around 30k in unrealised gains, instead of 200-300k if I just held them and not fall for the daytrading meme. Those 30k turned into 9k cuz of the bear market, but it was enough to quit my job and focus on hobbies more in 2018. Hiking, fishing, all sorts of stuff.

The last thread was very nice so I guess I'll tell a bit of my story.
Come from a poor family in a rich Yuropoor country.
Parents get divorced, father was an alcoholic and haven't seen him since I was about 12.
Manage to get some shitty diploma and a job.
Try to get a company going but get crushed by taxes and my business partner got sick.
Worked some shitty job until I found a nice well paying one.
Eventually quit because I disagree with the company's policies and I'm an honorfag.
Invest 1k in crypto along the way in 2019 and forget about it until recently.
My 1k turned into 4, I could've made much more if I focused on trading.
All in GRT at around 80cts after reading about the project and immediately understanding the repercussions it would have.
My 1k is not about 15k.
Found a new job but I hate it and I'm going to quit. I don't think I can be a wagie anymore but I don't feel any passion for anything related to work. I could probably find a job in whatever field I want to but I don't know what I want. If I had to do it again I'd have learned to be a plumber or a carpenter.
Hope COVID doesn't fuck me over again.
I believe in The Graph.

After 2018 was over and I spent most of those 9k, I started looking for a job, found one in december, and from there I started investing 30-40% of salary while living like a poorfag until January 2020 came. In my country banks have a rule that prevents people from making loans unless they work for at least a year at the same workplace, so after I made one year and a month I made a small 5k loan to buy some coins. So this time I had all my salary money invested, plus that loan, no other money. I knew about a coin named XIO, cuz it was airdropped to me because I held some units in another coin named BOMB, and the XIO was airdropped for free to BOMB holders. Anyway, the CEO of this XIO coin made some cool youtube videos and he seemed trustworthy, and I noticed that they didn't do any marketing at all, like no influencers, no shilling, and because of that the price was crabbing under one cent and the volume was only 2-3k per day. So I bought like 500$ worth of XIO. After a few months /biz/ and a few telegram shill groups discovered XIO, and the price pumped from one cent to almost 40 cents, kek. I made some money on that pump, and after it started going down I kept rebuying more XIO, until I had around 150k. The coin kept crabbing at 7-10 cents for a while, and then in August another huge pump came and the price jumped to 92 cents

and after that I kept selling and buying other coins, blah blah, meanwhile the price of XIO went down, and in november I heard about another airdrop that was prepared for the XIO holders, so I bought a shit-ton of cheap XIO so I can earn more of the new FLASH tokens for free. Got the airdrop and became one of the top 10 FLASH whales, and since the price was crabbing I just kept them without selling or doing anything, until the price recently started to make big moves and now I'm in the mid six figure zone

Never told anyone this story but might as well let /biz/ know the road to my wealth (~$3.5MM USD at this point)
It began back in 2013. Bitcoin flying, litecoin flying, random shitcoins like peercoin, hell, even dogecoin was about to be formed iirc around December 2013. There was this shitcoin called QQCoin which used the new scryptjane hashing algo that made the scrypt asics that was recently released impossible to utilise on scryptjane based coins. Cool, I started mining some with my GPU. Forward to a bit later, some chink decides to create a copy of QQC called VelocityCoin, which just like the name suggests, was as retarded as you could imagine. However, it was the first copy of QQC which was actually decently popular at this point.
Fuck it, I thought to myself. I know programming, I know mining quite well, I will setup a mining pool and cash in on the rewards. Said and done, somehow I figure out how to setup a mining pool with automatic payments, fees, the entire suite. Before the network went live I managed to become listed as the primary pool for the coin. Excellent, I will be able to cash in a couple % of whatever everyone is mining. Said and done, that's what happens. A few days after release on the "official" velocitycoin forums I get this PM in completely broken English. "i LOVE VEL! CHINA LOVE VEL!" I BUY ALL YOUR VEL"
At this point I had a couple million (which was probably 10% of the total supply or something) and sold, if I recall correctly, 250k for 3btc or 500k for 5.5btc, he was buying more every day. At some point I ran out of VEL and had accumulated roughly 30btc. I sell some around $700 and then the bear market comes and I kinda let them sit and rot in my wallet. Around 2015-2016 I start using a lot of my BTC to buy CSGO skins. This would turn out to be a really fucking bad idea in hindsight. >cont

2017 comes around, I had just quit my job, and was looking into creating my own business. Well, for some fucking reason, I realise a crypto bullrun has started sometime in late March/Early April, and immediately transfers my BTC and LTC to Kraken to start trading. I didn't know shit about trading, but fuck it. I had roughly 7.6btc and 100ltc to my name, maybe I can make $200 per day? Turns out, yes, I indeed could. What I did not realise was that I could make, most days, over $500 at this point. I quickly saw my crypto NW go from maybe 8000 to maybe 30000 in like 2 months. Cool, I thought. At this point I'm heavily trading smaller part of my stack to increase my BTC. I want to get back to 30. Also, good to remember, at this point I had invested $200 into buying Litecoin at some point in 2013, and my GPU. That's it.
The BTC/BCH fork comes around 1st of August if I remember correctly, and by this point I had accumulated $50k in Crypto. People were dooming BCH and honestly it was so massively in favour of BTC that taking the contrarian side felt like the better play. I anticipated that BCH would drop HARD the first day or so - but then would pump and create an insane FOMO. Which essentially was what happened. On Kraken, it went down to $100 or so - I remember buying hundreds at $115 or something - and a day later I think it went up to $800. I always sell small parts during pumps constantly, so my avg sell was probably around 3-400, and had doubled my stack in one-two days. (I didn't go all in with everything).

Now, I'm sure you people know what's going on. BTC pumps to 5k and there is China FUD for the 88th time and BTC drops to 3k, I buy the dip and it goes back up to 8k, there is the insane Coinbase BCH pump together with BCH going 0.5 on BCH/BTC ratio, and some dude on Kraken puts a 10k btc buy wall at 0.5btc. (He literally swapped, 5-10000 of his btc for 10-20000 BCH. Most people probably don't remember this, but what a fucking moron. lol) BTC dumps back to 5.5k and then rest is history, 4x pump to 19.8k and then bear market. At the 2018 peak I had 1.3MM, had sold $300k into fiat, and retained the rest. And held it. And still holding that same amount that was worth $1MM in 2018, down to $200k in March 2020. Iron fucking hands. That $200k in March less than a year ago is now worth $3.5MM. Yes, I should've sold everything, but if I had, I doubt I would've bought back at all.

So there you go - nothing to riches in 8 years, with literally a $200 LTC investment and a GPU. And a fuck ton of my time and stress, which I will never get back.

>> No.29179756

>>29178890
LINK is viable long term, you can also check out the other DeFi tokens if you want, cuz this bullrun seems to be DeFi based mostly. I would advise you to also make a small portfolio of smallcap tokens. Maybe 10-20% of the money invested into bigger coins if you don't want to risk too much on the small coins. The bullmarket will be very wild and I expect many of these small coins to pump a lot more than the top coins desu

I don't know much about RVN but it is fairly cheap and swinging like a madman, you might be able to build a small amount of coins off $40 as I'm doing now and just sit on them, it's not a big gamble but also fun in a way to experiment.

That being said this is a bad method and I understand that but had 40 wrapped up into binance I couldn't withdraw so figured let's have a little fun.
