I waited like 2-3 hours for an IOTA transfer today.
I know your gut tells you to get nervous, but if you pasted the correct address, it's highly unlikely that coins are permanently lost.

Worst thing that can happen is that your transfer doesn't go through on Ethereum and Vitalik jews you out of the gas anyway. :^)
Your coins just return to/never leave the original wallet in those cases.
