This is happening exactly as was expected. Chainlink solves all of ETH's problems. Once it does everything will be back on ETH because so much has already been built around it and chainlink. This was done intentionally to show the value of chainlinks use cases, it will be like throwing a lifeline to the whole crypto space and everyone will see that the smart contract platform is less relevant than they thought because they are all reliant on chainlink anyway
