They are not unexpectedly infinitely creating more tokens, if you read the whitepaper and their tokonomics plan, it always said there would be billions of coins. But it's a finite predetermined number, unlike for example dogecoin that by design has infinite coin creation. People are questioning the timing, since they were supposed to be created later on, not so early. Hopefully it will be explained better tomorrow.

The point of crypto and the audit is exactly that, they can't create extra tokens out of thin air, everything is already determined and can be openly viewed. That's how people know they are increasing the supply earlier btw, the transparency of the blockchain.
